Since Wednesday, I have been receiving these kind of calls originated from uk and hk

I did not subscribe sign up to any special service and


Anyone else had this kind of experience? How do did you deal with this kind of problem?



I tried calling maxis for help but they said can't do anything to block incoming calls.

+1 and would like to follow for solution. Seems always get at least 3 calls around evening, daily.
Mostly from HK, some Spain.

Started since 28th, and getting the spam calls daily. If answered, there is no voice from the other end, and call will drop after few seconds.

Me too umobile number keep getting diff calls from UK and HK.
Damn, blocked ady keep using diff numbers to calls. Been few days like you.

Yup, me too. Using Unifi Mobile by the way. kept blocking, but they'll call using new numbers

What happening

Mine is Digi, so probably can cross out telco related source.

A friend's acquaintance of mine having it as well and did not update to latest mysejahtera app, so not due to it as well.

Today another call from UK number at 6.28pm

i intentionally picked up the call to see what it is about

so it's the typical MO

the caller knew my name.
the caller spoke in english with indian accent.

he said im lucky to be selected for some high investment thing.

but i keep intercepting with i can invest 10m or not.

he just replied im being ridiculous.

and he keep trying to repeat the script, and i also keep repeating 10m can or not first.

he hung up on me after that.

too bad the call still coming in daily especially around night time. i used truecaller to block international number for now.

I am getting it too but my Telco is U mobile
Since the 28th, everyday around evening I will get 2 calls. One from UK, one from HK. Now it's 3 times a day they calling

I received calls also from UK and HK since last week (28 Dec 2021), using maxis postpaid.

I did pick up the call and the caller said "this is regarding an investment opportunity...". I replied not interest and hung up.

Now receive 3 or 4 calls from there around 7 pm to 9 pm everyday.

And I have no friend from UK and HK, so just use the phone block feature block country code +852 and +44.

A tad bit reluctant to use Truecaller because it is part of the big problem:

I thought I'm the only one receiving all these spam calls from UK and HK after port-in to Digi few days ago.
Been receiving it average 4 calls a day

Iphone can do it?

I don't use iphone n no idea for it. I use Huawei P30 pro n think should be similar way.

Go to your phone app -> blocked -> block rules -> blocklist -> Add -> Block prefix -> enter the country code: +852, +44

I don't think this works for iphone as I have tried and the +44 calls still came in. Truecaller has the same country prefix blocking but it only works for Android

Ahhh tonight is so serious. 😂


Anyway i have contacted maxis and they said they can't block incoming calls

And i have lodged a complain to skmm. Will see how it goes.

Would like to seek help from u guys to lodge a report to slmm too to bring up this issue. Seems this is a common issue.

no wonder la...i thought its only me. keep receiving +44 numbers like 11pm. using Hotlink.

Me too. Am using Celcom Mega plan. Started receiving calls from UK then addition from Hong Kong already. Blocked the initial number only to receive calls from a different number. They call once or up to three times daily, around 5~11pm. Even Samsung Smart couldn't block all their attempts.

I saw you already blocked the individual numbers one by one, but it will be a pain in the ass to keep doing so. You can set up in your settings to silence the unknown calls: Detect and block spam phone calls. https://support.apple.com/en-sg/HT207099 or use third party apps to filter and block the unknown numbers:
