IdeaPad have the tendency to corrupt the HDD (aka BSOD), always needs to reformat. Sometimes even a simple Windows Update will cause the same problems too, maybe some hardware drivers are not compatible... just no idea...
Most ThinkPad kind of a bit of good quality build, but still encountered many problems... things like SMR HDD instead of CMR, causing system to be slow over the time & have the tendency to suddenly unable to boot... no system boot error and tons more.
So to me, I have bad experience with this brand irregardless whether its Consumer or Corporate model... all just sucks...
My POV, stay away from Lenovo brand...
I do have good experience with Acer, Dell & HP brands... I have 2 Acer TravelMate (9yrs), 2 HP EliteBook (10yrs), 1 Dell Inspiron (8yrs)... all still working & of course with some upgrade like RAM & SSD but it just works fine albeit the battery unable to last long only.
