Hi guys, I have a 22x70 double storrey and planning to reno later on. Just wanted to ask whether it is safe to hack those wall I've circled with blue. If got column in one of those wall, is it possible to hack it and make a new one on the sides for load distribution.

Most prob should have 2 columns there. And not easy to do it, cause it could be supporting the car porch slab outside.

Planning to have a wider sliding door if able to hack wall, but safety first, if cannot hack then have to live with it 🤗

On the left cant hack? Or that could be a column also, need check back the drawing. haha. Cause got DB at the middle red circle. Got DB means you need to shift the wires to another location, extra job, wires need to reconnect properly.

Seems like cannot...
Got column 🤔🤔

Better check out original plan from developer...
Or professional help....

Especially it's involved double storrey house...
Single might just adjust here & there.. load won't be very heavy 😬

Hi. Personally I would have just leave as it is. House looks wide. Hacking will bring more headache for you in future.

Yes, it can be done by increasing depth of the existing beam and the no of rebar at the bottom of the beam. The DB box will have to be relocated. The entire cost should be around MYR MYR 25K (not inclusive of plan submission fee)
