Wave goodbye to your data... SSD impossible to recover.
You should have back up when it started to hang. I also lose a SSD in similar matter. Left the work laptop 24/7 but suddenly start hang once or twice a week. Luckily I did a backup then and only lose some newer data after it failed a few weeks later. |

QUOTE(ktek @ Dec 31 2021, 11:47 AM) I think it's all about capacity. Now I'm buying 500gb and 1tb. Mine that fail is also a small capacity. If you left 20gb or so, it will kept writing and deleting those 20gb and we know how "well" windows are with caching in recent OSes. |

QUOTE(ktek @ Dec 31 2021, 11:47 AM) Correct. Can reduce data loss by using Over Provisioning method. Yes it will take at least 7%-10% of your SSD space. So far i have came across Kingston & Patriot 240GB having same SATAFIRM Error. Cannot flash the problem away with 3rd party method. Some of them say can. Maybe it depends on board revision. But i could not do it. End up claim warranty due to the drives being just 2 years old. Nowdays i don't really care about drives being made by super cap ayam or expensive brand. If you are giving life to new laptop of desktop using SSD, just buy the ones you feel comfortable with. |
