Probably a rotational thing since we have a CL game midweek? I would think Sancho gets a rest if we didn't concede and collapsed after for the 2 leeds goals. But we were chasing for a crucial 3 points and Sancho was probably one of our best player ytd night.

I would think that AWB was our worst player out there though. Probably was sent in to hold James down, and if James was not running headlessly like he used to for us, AWB would have been useless. He runs into opposition with no thoughts on his next move. Passes to a teammate who was under heavy pressure, making it hard for him to clear the ball.

I loved what i seen from McT ytd night though. Being annoying, throwing tackles left right centre, picking on meaningless fights, just like the rest of the top squads have.

Fred was a surprise. I was deeply disappointed when pogba came off but was pleasantly surprised at Fred forward movements. But I guess it was also Leeds keke, terrible defense setup.

Bruno, oh bruno, love him even if he have games where he just lob balls forward optimistically to nowhere. How could we ever drop him.

Ronaldo had a rather quiet game again. Dont think it was a sitter as the ball was going behind him. Never really understood if its actually our wingers and midfielders not feeding him, or his runs are terribly offside half the time. But at the end of the day, showed why he is still class by coming in deep to pick up the ball, making runs after 70 minutes of horrible pitch. I think the team is better off without him, but im sure glad he is not in a city / liverpool team against us. With the quality that liverpool and city have, he would have been a nightmare in the premier league.

Pitch was so bad though, u cant really dribble with the ball or pass effectively, but was glad to see the team came through with a fighting spirit even after conceding the 2 goals.

Onwards to CL! Many wrote us off from CL, but im just secretly hoping Mr CL brings his little magic again hoho. I'll be happy to see us go as far as possible with the best team even if we don't win it or go very far from here
