laugh.gif don't mislead people lah. Diversification is important, across industries/countries/companies.

use IBKR, buy VWRA - best diversification as it has many large and medium size companies all across the world. Also it is Irish domiciled 15% WHT tax on dividends only instead of usual 30% tax. Hence also dividend investing for US stocks not that attractive due to 30% WHT tax. Better go for growth stocks.

comes to withdrawal speed, if use Stashaway also same thing when try to withdraw after sell, need +2 days or so.
heck even local Bursa after sell also need few days before can withdraw money into own bank after sell.

So i dont see why not 100% in IBKR. It can even be used to buy SG stocks there and all across the world. Just take note of the fees as different stock exchange different fees. Taxes might be different also.

why US stocks.. just google Amazon, Apple, Tesla, Meta, Alphabet stocks.. see how much they went up every year.
for ETFs go for CSPX, VWRA, SWRD etc irish domiciled.

or u can copy Stashaway's ETF selections by opening at account there.. choose the good ETFs and invest DIY yourself via IBKR.

I always see this before I invest.. people say past performance doesn't matter.. yeah right then just check Bursa stocks and tell me if past performance matters or not? Many people got fed up with Bursa's performance just check reddit, youtube etc forums else why foreign investors keep withdraw. US stocks and ETFs is the way. Some SG stocks or overseas stocks also not bad.

I got bought some when it was near its peak (before China banned crypto last month), till now have not recovered.
Thanks to all the crypto hype.

For Crypto best is to be a trader, buy at low best sell same day for some profits.
Even keeping some then going to bed is a risk you may lose more than what you paid. Market is 24/7

hodl-ing long for a crypto that has no fundamentals, that is similar to Forex trading.. sure if u have cash to burn you can do that. For me will stay away for time being. Invest in ETFs and stocks that follows fundamentals.. profit, balance sheet, ratios etc is best way for long term. Still US > Bursa many times. Maybe one day Bursa will shine with the correct gov and policies, but for now seems like not.

DCA is your fren la bro.. if you would have bought same amount every single month you would have average down when market is not on your side. This is basic investment. Putting your money once into something and HOPING it will GO up is not investment. It's just gambling. If you're doing the same in ETF,stonks or crypto, you would also be considered gambling when you BUY once and HOPING it will go up.

Also if you're long term investor, short term flux should not worry you. If it does then pls stick to conventional old skol investment instrument.

Still if crypto crashes one day and loses its value.. Due to not having any fundamentals.. No one can save the amount lost in thin air. Simple as that. It requires demand to keep fueling it. Can't predict at all when it will go up or crash.

Companies, stocks, ETFs you can read daily News and financial reports to keep up to date.. And sell before hand before it gets worse. Or just bear through the storm and see its value rise surely when things recover.

Bitcoin I lost few hundred.. What if need to wait 10 years to get back those few hundred? Can for certain tell me when things will recover? No one will know the answer unless if u have time machine.

don't blame the hype, blame your own stupidity. Please don't come back with fundamental shits when US stocks are in correction in the coming future.
*
Ok let's see who's more stupid then. Just checked price for btc, eth, ltc today's price nose dived again.

Go ahead and hodl them and wait for them increase since this is your "smart" way to invest. Please do.

Oh many new crypto coins out there too pls invest in all of them for short term gain. Remember to keep monitor them too. Don't need to work already just depend on crypto day trade will do. Will earn a fortune for you.

Correction for US stocks? Check the big US companies like Amazon, Tesla, Apple, Microsoft.. Explain to me what is correction if last five years keep increase like mad. If you buy less known stocks then definitely is higher risk and is yours to take.

You seem very well versed with stocks.

You might need to do some research in crypto before saying it does not have fundamentals
*
Can search for articles on Crypto fundamentals. Many experts agree it is determined by supply and demand, nothing more.

https://ph.news.yahoo.com/how-to-find-bitco...-194103057.html

I am not against anyone to invest in crypto.. Is you need to have the skills and time to monitor, best buy low sell high to earn fast. Using monitoring tools and charts. The more capital u have the easier to earn.

But for average income earners it's gonna be hard. Can you risk losing that few thousand buying Crypto? After wake up lose a few hundred and dunno when can make back the money? That is the question.

For those who like to HODL.. U cant tell the future of crypto. Like u see once china ban entire crupto value got disrupted. What if US one day ban crypto? Or Europe? If u have money to burn and no time to monitor then invest 10% the most should be ok.

Just heard of a story recently a friend's friend with high capital 1 million RM he bought, earn 5% he sell the crypto. Mostly buying less known coins or new coins. He's a day trader and monitor market closely. Can spend money like water. Until banks start to call him and soon maybe income tax will come knock on his door since he don't declare. So u need both money and time to make it big here. Are you willing to quit your job to do this? Or u find life more meaningful earning money like other normal people. Also how sustainable is this in the long run?

don't waste so much time to educate these people only chasing for short term gains. Bought in crypto at ATH, blame the hype. When the S&p500 going into correction due to the overvaluation and interest rate kick in, blame ppl who hyped up sp500. Rinse and repeat. US stocks has the fundamentals but I invest based on values and values only, definitely not buying at the ATH with the fake money being injected into the US economy.

lol I am investing for long term not short.. ok whatever you say then since this is what you believe in.

continue your ways and see what happens.
