don't hide the cable...let it dangle in the middle
when the car is park...unmount the dashcam and put it on the floor

if u hide the cable...u have to cable the cable as well
so when u get back to the car, u need to mount the dashcam back + plug the cable back in

but for me, i just let it dangle

depending what dashcam u use, they got sell such kit
and not recommend to cut wire

go ddpai to look for that cable

not really
i drove car with and without the cable dangling...for me, makes no difference
it's just 1 straight cable coming down...and it's tied neatly underneath

plus people looking from behind knows they're being recorded so they don't try anything stupid but many still did

u cannot tahan dangling cable in front of u yet so many people put tons tons bunch of talisman handing onto the rear view mirror
those are even more distracting to me and blocking my view

i put my cam at a very visible place with the wire dangling yet people still do stupid stuff around me
