Is it possible or has anyone ever requested for amendments to be made whilst a project is under con? Ie like plumbing changes or not putting up a divider wall. Or does it have to be delivered as per original form?
I feel it’s wasteful to use materials for something you know you’ll dismantle anyway.

Developers dont entertain such requests other than furnishing fittings. If buyers start to request for changes, it will disrupt the construction as someone is needed to coordinate those work. Deviation from approved plan can cause delay in issuance of cf.

QUOTE(Kendall @ Dec 23 2021, 11:32 AM) In this case, high rise. Is it more negotiable for landed?

You want changes at free zero cost to you, or you willing to pay for cost to change stuffs ?

Unless you want to pay for all the legal documents and service fees to get your new plans approved, no, especially with SPA enforced on both you and developer.
Construction must follow the terms and layout as given in SPA and as per approved architect plan submitted to authorities, under law.
In addition these changes will not only disrupt their construction schedule (usually quite tight) which will cost them, there's also safety risks involved in high rise (affects load bearing walls etc.)
Developer will not pay for and take those risks unless customisation is part of the package to begin with, and even then they will not deviate from SPA.

Whatever wall/plumbing is subjected to approval.
If you make changes to it yourself later, it would still be subjected to the developer/MC approval.
So, basically during con period, no changes can be made as there are tight restrictions to be followed.

Actually it would have been great if flooring can be customised i.e. option to have bare cement screed just likr HDB in SG. Then can stick own tiles no need hacking.
