Hello all,

Would like to ask, what can I do if the insurance company (and its third-party appointed health company) keep delay my new MRTA application?

-----------------
The story starts @ Apr 2021, where we signed our LO & SPA for new property purchased, so by usual MRTA is mandatory if you expect lower rate.

So thereafter, the insurance appointed this third-party health company and ask to go check-up (which I'm fine with that), but the problem is because covid situation is so serious during that time so I do not want to risk myself to go any clinic/medical centre.

Then during somewhere Sept2021 suddenly receive a letter from the insurance company say my application got rejected, I contact the insurance company telling them the reason then they contact back this 3rd party company and they arrange the medical checkup schedule and finally done @ Oct2021. Well there is also a lot of dumb thing during the checkup and questions ask from this 3rd party company (too long to tell so skipping this).

After the medical checkup, then every 2 weeks I will receive a call and ask "can you provide me this, can you provide me that", and in between I also received letter from insurance company saying "We could not proceed your application, please kindly provide xxxx" (which I already did), and all these letter is also CC a copy to the bank which I'm concern what bank will think about me, why insurance keep sending these "We could not proceed your application" letter.

And after for so long until now, this 3rd party company is still keep on after 2 week giving me a call / sms / email, and ask for some question which they can ask all these at once. So I feel my application is keeping delay which I don't know what else I can do, I've direct call the Insurance company for 3-4 times due to this, but all they do is just ask the 3rd party company to follow up with me and these question and call continues every bi-weekly.

FYI I'm 38yo, healthy (at least) person, casual exercise and in the past 8-10yr I didn't even take any MC (my company can proof that if they want), I'm not a person who like to go clinic/medical center to "snake" for work or something. So I'm out of idea what can I do to settle this once and for all?

You didnt state the reasons or what further info the insurance wanted, so I am guessing ...

I think your health is questionable from the insurance perspective after the medical examination.

If is me, I would approach the dr to find the reasons for his comment not soley for mrta purpose but to seek 2nd opinions on the comments.

No, they never ask question based on the medical check-up that I've done on Oct2021.

But for the eye test, they said my eye sight cannot see certain level (from the eye test chart) then the application cannot get approve. Then I'm like shakehead.gif . I have this "lazy eye" since I was age of 6, so is all ppl with this eye symtom cannot get mrta for their whole life? My previous property I have MRTA but don't have such concern before?

So then they start to ask for past medical report (which they don't want earlier even I ask them), then ask if I check my eye before, which center, sign form and they want to get all these, send them what they want (previous medical report) then receive that "We cannot proceed with your application" letter, then they ask to sign another form for my concern for eye test I done before receive another "We cannot proceed with your application" letter.

These goes ding dong ding dong week after week, month after month and is still ongoing. I'm fine if you want me to provide all these in a more efficient manner, and not ask for 1 thing then stopped, then after 2-3 week, ask another, then another.

*I don't know what else test can I do when I already have this eye problem in my young age.

Why didnt you buy the mrta from your previous insurance co ? Unless you want to finance the premium together with your HL, then borrow from that bank.

When you were younger during the time you took the mrta previously, insurance may view it as lesser risk. Now you are much older, the risk may increase.

It is the same insurance company smile.gif

Because old MRTA is surrendered when the previous loan is paid off

Is weird that such thing happens unless there is a big shift in your oveall health.

I think it could be the delay when they requested you to go for medical appoinment and they suspected something is not right. No doubt your reason was covid, but then they still have to be cautious.

Nevetheless, they can always added new tnc regarding underwriting since your last purchase to minimise their risk.

I suggest you visit the CS office to sort whatever issues once and for all instead of through emails or calls. If that fails, then try other co as some can take different risk level.

It also depends how urgently you need that property and whether you want to take the risk of borrowing withour mrta.

If that's really the reason then this insurance company is risking my life before I'm getting protected, so if then anything happen to me they even got more reason to say "Sorry your application is rejected". shakehead.gif

*Just feeling this, if paying them now to get a policy approve also so difficult, how easy will the process to claim if something happen to me later?

so that's the reason I'm asking is there a way to sort this out, eg. like if you have a case with Telco and you dingdong dingdong we could just involve MCMC, but for now when I call the insurance company then they just keep divert back to the 3rd party company to follow up with me, and keep on dragging and forever ask for something.

Thanks for your comment and sorry to expressed out the bad feeling, but this is wasting too much time.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

If that's the case, apply for another MRTA to get yourself protected. Unless it affects your loan interest etc, I don't think there's any issue for you to get MRTA from another company at all.

Getting this mrta it is because the loan requirements, or else the rate is different already, if is not because of this I wouldn't want to go for mrta (getting mlta instead) 😮‍💨

Maybe you have cancer or something that the insurance company deems as risky but did not tell you.. better go and get full examination of yourself..
