Well we cant really comment on the look as the car now is heavily masked. Just wait until it is unmasked and then we can comment.

I think most malaysian are too used to japanese styled design that its hard for them to accept cars that are not designed by the japs. Looks are subjective anyway. Well most proton have beautiful design lets just hope that this car can deliver the same.

Well if the space is as big as the savvy, which i think will be bigger. and is mated with the 1.3l campro and priced at the 35-38k region we will get a new super budget car in malaysia. Viva can say bye bye ledi

wow the unmasked car is beautiful...am i really looking at the new proton saga here...Lets just hope that it comes with the 1.3l campro WITH vim. If they can even add the CPS then it would be better.

Even the vanilla 1.3 campro churns out 90++ hp just think if CPS and VIm is added..

Then we got 1 month ++ to wait for this car. but now proton plant is busy producing the persona where will they have time to build the new saga?

i guess there is going to be a long waiting list for this car if its priced correctly.
LEts just hope that the quality of the car is up to standard



Well in the 30-40k price range there is nothing that you can do about it. Even viva, savvy and myvi is full of cheap plastic even if the car almost reaches 50k

this car is not going to replace gen 2. its going to replace saga if im not mistaken. Estimated price range is from 30-40k. Well now we can just wait and see

so how big is it? imena how wide is it to the current savvy? as wide as the savvy?

heh i think that they choose non metalic colour becoz its a base line model. We dont see saga with super shiny paint do we

Well i guess they will have an option to have metallic colour when the car is launched

Well its rumoured to be campro 1.3+VIM. Wont really know if CPS will be impremented in this car.

Well the campro is a powerful engine its just that it has the low end torque problem. VIM will surely fix this problem.

heh i think there surely will be MYVI vs BLM thread when BLM is launched.

Even in the persona vs mYvi thread also suddenly turns into a saga vs myvi fight.

hehe yesterday i went to proton COE and asked one of the guy there. He said that BLM can be booked already.

He also said that the official launch date is either 11th or 18th if everything goes well

cant wait for the car launch haha

how to book. i think u can just go to the dealer and book. BEcoz the guya t coe said that if u want the car when it launced u can make a booking now

hehe just went to cineleisure this evening. Nothing to comment here exept that the car is LONG. I think it is going to look like latio which is tall and not wide enough. The engine bay is HUGE compared to the savvy engine bay which is dam cramped. maybe can even put campro 1.6 inside

Even got the pricelist from the proton guys there. As usual only the m line got a driver side airbag. i sure hope that they will make a high line for this car also.

And it says there that the launch is on the 18th of jan. man 2 more weeks to go

well i think that the button on top is better for fast gear change from N to P to D or whatnot. Well im drving a manual car so normally i change gear with the palm of my hand on top of the gear knob. its faster that way

When im driving an auto car with the button in front i need to grab the whole of the gear stick and u know some auto cars have really low gearstick(eg myvi) and my hand also need to reach lower down to grab the button. Sometimes is not comfortable.

With the button on top i guess we dont really need to reach down so far to change gear. Just my opinion

hehe i just came back from proton COE. There is sure a lot of ppl there. Mostly families buying new car i guess. THe car is great in person.

The interior is also good. THere is no 'cheapness' feeling in it.

The seats are softer and much more comfortable than the savvy seat. The front legroom are more than adequate and the rear legroom are good. Even someone as tall as me (178cm) can sit behind comfortably without my knee touching the front seat. HEadroom is excellent . My head are so far from the roof. Well i guess u could sit 3 adult behind but its going to be a bit of a squeeze

Boot space is quite big also. The engine as we know is the campro 1.3 with IAFM so i expect the performance will be good. I think this car is really worth the money u pay for.

hmm so anyone in lowyat has the car? its been a while now i dont see any review from lowyat ppl

hey actually anyone here in lyn got their car. it seems that the saga is very rare on the road. in lyn here also i dont think ihave seen any pics of anyone showing their car
