Not a good looking car. Hopefully the real one will be better. It is a prototype car so it will look ugly since some of part is not finalized yet.
Not sure if they can add more interior space. It is based on Savvy. But they do add in the boot (same as persona).
If the pricing is below 30K for super basic model then it will sell very well.

Very nice and simple design. I'm quite suprised since it based on the same platform as savvy. I wonder why they don't use this desgn for savvy initially

Maybe the VIM is enough since P1 need to keep the price low. For the most basic model the current campro (w/o VIM/CPS) should be ok.
With all the demand for Persona hope they don't delay the launch date.

Already nice. No need to alter much. Changing the color would be nice. Blueberry tea maybe This post has been edited by caviars: Sep 25 2007, 09:37 PM

It's very subjective la. If you want to sell car in Malaysia you make a car that Malaysia people like. Don't care if it looks like frog, toilet bowl, or platipus, the main point is to sell it.

It is good to think globally and make a design that can sell worldwide. However it is diificult to get a design that is appealing to everybody. P1 main market is still Malaysia and they have a long way to go before they can succeed worldwide (especially europe). So the best way is to create something that at least can sell in your main market before trying to sell it outside your market.
It is hard to find such thing as "global taste". Manufacturers have to make a localize version of a product in order to sell it to a dfferent part of the world.

The final result will be something between the one taken on the road and the one taken with LG background.

Since it is based on savvy platform, it is very likely that the interior will be similar to savvy. Just like persona share the same platform as Gen2, the interior design is the same.

According to motortrader proton will launch the BLM in the next 6 weeks. Should be early January 2008. Don't know whether if the real or soft launch. MTM

No matter how good the first batch is there always be a chance it will have problem when it is launched. Some defect only appears and known when the product is already in the market. Thats is why manufacturer recalled their product when this kind of problem occurred.

I asked PE center and EON in Glenmarie and both said the wait time is 3 to 4 months. Proton i-care estmete the same time too. You may get quicker if you don't care about color and spec. One thing they said it that booking doesn't always mean sales so you may get it sooner. Again don't believe their word 100% since they are a SA I really like the BLM silver color and wanted to buy it. But after seating inside the persona I cannot decide which one I should buy
