just got my saga last friday, i got the auto version , overall ride and handling is good.Power is lacking. i get around 250KM for RM50 for 70% city driving + 30% highway driving.I am really disappointed with the build quality, there are already weird sounds coming from here n there, i get "krak krak" sound coming from engine bay whn moving, and the engine sometime makes "tak tak tak" sound like diesel engine.Somemore there is something loose in the speedo, i can hear vibration sound from the speedo.gonna goreng potong whn i send the car for 1st 1000 KM service.Anyone have the same problem as me?

I sent my car to proton service center.upon inspection , the "tak tak tak" sound came from IAFM module,"klong klong" sound came from faulty absorbers.Still no clue as wht is causing the rattling noise from speedo and kling kling noise coming from engine bay.I need to send my car back to the SC next week as parts are not available at the moment...2 days of leave wasted. After leaving the SC, went to pump petrol, to my horror, one of the screw securing the petrol tank inlet to the car body broke, the screw seem a bit rusted...went bck again to the SC to complain.Thy say thy will order the replacement part for me..but no promise as to when the parts will arrive.Seems like Total Cost of ownership of potong saga is not as low as claimed.since time = $$$$ , paid leave also = $$$$, plus the car is bloody thirsty..

450Km??? you sure ?? my that is around the millage for my mum's manual myvi. You car pass 1st 1000 KM already?

The car was fine for th first day.Only second day the sound start coming..and it got worst. The foreman at proton SE told me the IAFM problem is a known issue.Mayb u r lucky..u did not get faulty parts.

I check with 2 myvi 1.3 auto owners, they told me thy get around 270++ for RM50. Given tht myvi is lighter and has a more advance engine, DVVT better thn IAFM,I can't figure out how u get 450km for RM50. How did you actually measure the 450km? For me..whn i got my car , i pump until full tank.Reset trip meter to 0, whn fuel meter bar reaches 1 bar. i pump again untill full, it cost me RM49.72 , and the tripmeter shows 253KM.

buy proton is like tht la...u gamble ma...lucky u get cars wif out any faulty part syok lor...u unlucky..u spend a lot of time at SC, Feeling cheated and frustrated. All boils down to QC.

Now come to think of it....it's worth paying more for a MyVi, at least u know u would not get a lemon. My mum has a myvi, 2 years..no problem at all..nvr need to repair anything, not even absorbers.I have a few frens who drive myvi...no complain..nvr claim warranty also, plus it's more fuel economical and u know the design is good bcos the amount of money and resource perodua's parent daihatsu/Toyota has for R&D is bigger thn protons n thy definitely can afford to spend on R&D since myvi's platform and engine is also used in Daihatsu sirion/boom and also toyota passo thy have economic of scale.Since daihatsu sirion and toyota passo are sold in Europe, thy hv to meet certain safety standards.U can be sure myvi will not be a milo tin wif wheels.
