Proton is improving, I guess the new CEO really work but Malaysia government still the same old look, maybe a new good leader is required I guess? haha
Would be a big hit to the market when it selling at 35k +-, especially the 2nd hand market

QUOTE(Suave @ Jan 21 2008, 09:22 AM) Hi. Once u've gotten ur car don't forget to tell us how long it took u to get the car, and what the REAL fuel consumption is. Proton quotes it at 6.3L/100km auto, 6.0/100km manual but that's at a constant velocity of 90kph under ideal circumstances with nothing at all in the car. so under ordinary circumstances, in city driving and all, the difference might be quite big the FC theory apply to all kind of cars anyway. Thanks, enjoy ur new Sagas people!! Expect 8L/100km for auto Anyway, my father proton Edar received 80 bookings on the first day. Seem to be a big hit eh? wakakaka, ya right. you can get tamiya toy car at a far cheaper price. go visit your nearest toy shop |

QUOTE(Suave @ Jan 21 2008, 10:50 AM) cos 1.5 with fuel saving functions like IDSI or VVTi will save u more fuel than a 1.3 =) really, i'm not joking. since the Saga is actually quite big, 1.5 will save u more fuel than 1.3, as the 1.3 engine will probably lag a little when pushing the car. That's the reason why the Avanza 1.3's f/c is so high, and the Gen2 1.3 too. Cos the engine's not powerful enough for a car that size. Powerful enough to move, yes. But not optimum. Simple laws of physics. Its only that the cost price is cheaper, so people buy them. Isn't that Avanza high f/c caused by the gearbox? The gear ratio of the gearbox sux, imagine 5-speed get you around 4k rpm for 100km/h.... (if not 4km rpm, its near there) |

QUOTE(kevinlim001 @ Jan 21 2008, 06:53 PM) Added on January 21, 2008, 6:57 pm the worth mention thing abt savvy is the amt and the 4 door. Even u r paying for 60K for 1.6 neo they only give u 2 door which i found is irritating esspecially when i bring 4 girls with me.. You comparing a car with a price, not the specs of it. Then what abouot Peugeot 206 GTI? RM100k++ 2 seaters. Thus, you can't compare 2 cars with their price. Don't include your situation in the conclusion, its unfair. There isn't a car fit all people. I found its crampy in savvy coz I'm tall while I sit comfortable in Satria Neo (front seat). Anyway, Saga is a good deal. For the pricetag of it, expecting a lot fresh grad/college students driving them soon. Back to the good old days of Proton Wira "flooding" the road. |

QUOTE(denzel88 @ Feb 19 2008, 12:52 AM) Now the news is that there will be 7 months waiting time... Well, some dealer offer only RM100 deposit nowadays because they never know when will the car arrive.omg ... 7 months is so long....In 7 months times... the new perodua gonna come out =_= The Price of the new perodua should be around 50k to 70k since the new coming Perodua is based on the Toyota Rush which cost 80k++ and made in Malaysia(Malaysian cars are Of course cheaper). Which is quite reasonable because its a 4X4 . Confuse now, 7 months is kinda to long and somthing could happen.Wonder if i should wait for it or go for the new saga So give the SAGA a try, if you can't wait you lose RM100. If you can wait, you'll be driving the people's car. I do believe the waiting time will be shorten, Tanjung Malim plant yet to reach it optimum output......if Proton can push the car out and ensure quality..... |

QUOTE(Suave @ Feb 21 2008, 09:17 AM) doesn't say so in the specs... i know myvi has it. i hope sage doesn't have. i really don't like it, find it quite annoying. it just some modification with brake-wire sensor.can be taken off or put in easily. up to user preference actually, I modified my waja to have the autolock function. |
