QUOTE(zc_squash @ Feb 16 2008, 05:22 PM) Finally test drove the the Saga this afternoon. Overall test drive experience is pleasing. The handling is especially good and the absorber is great too. However, i do not quite like the way the engine rev (i drove an auto one). When asked about the high rev before the power kicks in, the SA explained to me it is because its drive by wire system. The engine sounds a bit harsh during high rev (3k - 4k RPM). Generally, the NVH is ok but nothing to shout about. While of course you cannot compare this (the NVH) to expensive cars like a Vios, the Myvi - a slightly more costly car - do fare better in insulating the engine sound. yeah, i noticed that too... that's why i've been toying with the idea of a 2nd hand city, but the interest rates for 2nd hand cars are just so high... on a side note, all things being inferior, i think the saga definitely handles better than the city. |

The car does handle well. On the way home, i drove my friend's Myvi on the exact route i did with the Saga earlier. And believe me, you CAN feel the difference.Added on February 17, 2008, 12:45 pm QUOTE(keith_hjinhoh @ Feb 16 2008, 05:32 PM) Yup, that was my experience too. Other than that, do you notice the door handler, the one you open from inside to open your door? It gives some sort of fragile feeling. Didn't pay attention to that but according to my friends that tagged along with me, they say the door handles (the outside ones) feel a lil bit 'loose'.This post has been edited by zc_squash: Feb 17 2008, 12:45 PM |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Feb 17 2008, 04:00 PM) myvi's engine is less power full, its only 116bhp and 1298cc, saga's is a 1332cc engine, 120bhp. but myvi's pickup and top speed is slightly better cos saga is about 100kg heavier. yeah, i know what u all mean by MyVi's handling sucks. a lot of body roll. drove my grandfather's one that day. only thing i like about the myvi is the quiet engine, reasonable comfort and plenty of space. |
