success from persona then they do on savvy? u got to be kidding me... u think the car can be done by just plucking from the air? this car probably start been developed around the same time as persona, so how they know the persona is going to be a success? and what is wrong with extend body for current model? the whole world is doing just that!!! even the much loved japanese brand is doing that as well....

the headlight is different, the hood is different (no more toilet bowl design), the tail light is different, no more center exhaust..

maybe that is paper kadboard stuck with ductape.

Savvy already about RM 39k

Proton recent models were 3 hatchbacks before the persona. Dont forget that Mysians and mainly asians love sedans rather than hatchbacks.

my thoughts were not about what people like, but rather about how they're going to have 3 Sedans from with similar price range.

desperate? because they want to introduce new sedan to the market? LOL..

and copycat? which car this time?

proton never go creative...just my 2 cents.

creating a new car from scratch does mean more $$$
since proton ain't that "wealthy" yet,
such ideas are kinda not feasible

They could just ask Gov help, twist the meaning of excise duty, and give us a rm27k sedan without voilating AFTA.

Well before persona is launched there already 3 saloons in their lineup, in which 2 were very old models (wira n saga) and one (waja) needs a replacement soon. The persona is replacing the wira so i dont anything wrong, exception the price is indeed near. That why the waja will be upclass with the release of CPS in the near future for the waja, while the persona caters for those looking for an affordable small sedan to compete with vios and city.

there's nothing wrong with the persona. IMO persona was THE best move Proton did in a long while. There's finally an affordable NOT-OUTDATED sedan, even I plan to get one. (sorry la Savvy. I see Persona, I don't want you already).

which is why if you look at my post, I'm not judging it just yet. I want to see the actual stuff and the pricing before I decide to shoot.

anyway, they had Waja and Gen2 (Gen2 is still a sporty sedan in my book. not a hatch) with Saga and Wira being 5-door hatch.

Now with Waja + Gen2 and Persona and 1 more coming. Bottom line is that they're products will be the competitor of their own products should the pricing be close.

and AFAIK Gen2 was called WRM - Wira Replacement Model. well, whatever it is i'm not going into Proton's history. my views may incite more debate. as mentioned earlier, I'll wait to see before I judge.

i think TS should change the title to Proton BLM Spy Shot..
and put a notice that the picture is BLM in camo with black tapes etc...
want to judge its outlook, wait til the black tape is gone and it is shown to the public.

...has anyone ever thought that when it comes to micro-sedans, there is only one shape you could make it using current technology (by which i mean petrol powered not electric) ?

Thus, all micro sedans will have the same basic shape.
eg. Upcoming Savvy sedan, Clio, Old vios, City, Tiida.
