 Maxis Call Quality Issue Recently

Just wanted to know if it's my phone issue or Maxis issue.

i) Drop Calls very frequent
ii) Talking after a while , the other party will sound like a robot or wont be able to hear them
iii) Maxis 4G data kinda slow


are you guys facing the same issue? (i) and (ii) is almost happening on every call

Well... same issue I am facing; impossible to accept data quality, intermittent calls disconnect (found out that it was caused by VOLTE going away, and the signal being switched to 2G).

And for all these, you can thank Ericsson for pharking it up.

What to do? Management gatal... Huawei core so good... die die want to change to Ericsson core...

Now everyday facing stability issue...

Yes call drop frequently due to its switching to 2G when 4G signal is weak
also 4G data speed also sucks

yap, a lot of my maxis family members are having issues with calls and data. celcom too. im digi so far okay but digi still got 3g network in klang valley. must wait and see if digi also kabtoi later

when did they switch to ericsson? Because i've been having horrible stability issues with maxis since before covid until i switched out

Having the same issue for the past 2 weeks. Phone has full bar but if someone calls it does not go thru. At first I thought it was because I updated the phone. But still keeps happening intermittently.

Have called Maxis just now said they have reset my line. So right now just monitoring.

Haha just kidding. I personally feel drop call and silent call issue after Volte was introduced. And im calling Maxis to Maxis so no excuse there.

Seriously call drops is too frequent now. Call quality is shit, notice it become worse after volte activation

Call Centre told me they have new sim card since Dec 1st, ask me to go change it and they are confident that it solves the problem.

So i went to pyramid today, long q but for sim change, just walk in and self service at the machine, no need to Q but let the guard know.

Let's see if it helps. I will update again asap if SIM change helps



Note: only Maxis Centers like Pyramid, KLCC, Gardens. Not the dealer shop. Dealer shop they don't even know such a thing, but at Pyramid today i ask teh same question at Maxis Center and he told me the same thing. It synced with the call center

No it's different... That is DNB 5G radio core...

This is Maxis own 4G switching core... So the LTE, VoLTE, VoWIFI are all under Ericsson network...

yoo, any issue still maxis can't received or make call. internet no issue.

and with Iphone? Use maxis on ip8 can't received or make call, put same sim in other phone, oppo and samsung ok.

tested with unif & celcom no prob with volte on.

I can't get VoLTE to work on my Redmi k20 pro (china rom) to work.
Any advice beside change to a local phone? Volte and vowifi enabled.

And yes normal call get drop alot lately

Hey guys, to provide an update after 2 weeks since getting a new SIM. i notice, there is some improvements on my call quality, lesser drop calls....previously it was like almost every single call

you guys might want to give it a try by changing to a new sim card

I have the same issue

1) sim card changed
2) phone formatted
2) phone changed


for mobile data slow or no internet , Maxis support told me to clear cache on the chrome ,FB etc app and enable and then disable airplane mode whenever i have the issue

for voice breaking...although their own maxis support have acknowledged hearing my voice breaking...they cannot find a solution.

a maxis support personal himself messaged me privately telling me to escalate to MCMC

I have a phone contract otherwise i would have left maxis telco

whilst I am not keen to get my ass into a legal suit by maxshit by over divulging, all i can say to their approach in making a decision to switch out Huawei is abominable.
will you give up your right to make a decision which will make or break you as an individual to a 3rd party who has zero pharks given if you were to disappear from the planet?
that was the path maxshit took in deciding the swap.
and dont fix whats not broken; guess them morons up there havent heard from this phrase.

i'd say; its either they are outright bloody foolish; or maxshit management took a queue from how malaysia is governed; songlap.
i'd reckon someone's bank account is reaching bijan's level from this transaction.

i'm experience it now during my travel for the past 1 or 2 weeks earlier.
it happend to my number and subline.

i think it was maxis issue since im getting drop call and always hear the prompt "number not in service" during the call session.

on the other hand, i experience unable to surf mobile data too.
