Maybe wrong info from .......

https://soyacincau.com/2023/08/25/yes-5g-pr...-speed-for-all/ - 2023/08/25 - yes-5g-presents-two-new-affordable-5g-wireless-broadband-plans-gateway-and-flexi-with-uncapped-5g-data-and-speed-for-all
.... Yes 5G Wireless Broadband Flexi is designed for those looking to have blazing-fast wireless internet without a contract. The SIM-only plan is great for students, smaller families, or even people who are always on the go and need 5G connectivity without the headache of installation or waiting for the plan to be activated. Just insert the SIM card into your 5G device (it can be a 5G smartphone or 5G router), and you are instantly connected to the Fastest Mobile Network in Malaysia. A very flexible plan for anyone and everyone. ...
.
In that case, it may be better for you to test YES's 5G coverage at your locations by buying a RM10 YES Prepaid 5G Starter Pack, ie buy the 5G router only if tests pass. If not, just cancel the plan - thereafter, you can try other celcos.

AFAIK, the latest iOS update for iPhone 13 is iOS 17.0.2, released on 26 Sep 2023. The next latest is iOS 16.7, released on 21 Sep 2023. .......

Yo man what a gd good idea! How come I didn’t think of that. Yes I will just spend 10 bucks for testing not 1K! TQVM! laugh.gif notworthy.gif

I just applied for a Yes 5g esim. Speed test for about 15 times mostly got about 30mb+. Only 1 time more than 90mb. And experience the line gone out of service few times during my test. Even just few seconds. Seems unstable. Is that normal? Will it perform better in a router?

Did you do the speedtest with your updated iPhone 13.? Are you receiving 4G+ or 5G signals.? Normal 5G signal = >100Mbps and up to 1Gbps.

Note that DNB's 5G cell towers transceive mostly on the mid-band frequency of 3.5GHz = 5G NR Band N78 (with a huge 6Gbps bandwidth capacity to be shared by active subscribers) = which has a short range of about 1km and bad object/wall penetration. So, you will only get good signal reception if your location is within 1km of the nearest 5G cell tower and your 5G device is near the windows or outside the house/condo, ie not in the living room, kitchen, bedroom or office.

AFAIK, signal reception is the same for both 5G smartphone and router.

To check DNB's 5G cell tower locations wrt your own locations, ......

.

NB - AFAIK, most 5G routers can be fitted with a wired external antennae that should be placed near the windows or facing outside, towards the nearest 5G cell tower, ie the router can be placed further inside the house/condo.

I managed to get 400mb+ outside my house so I guess the coverage is ok in my area. But when I test it in my living room… the speed that I get from my iPhone is about 4G speed only. Anyway since outdoor reception is good… so I proceed to order my 5G router… maybe just add an external antenna.

YES is known for its unstable connection, I was also an user of YES, but it always gone out of service,  cannot tahan then change liao
That's also why currently their 5g package is the cheapest

I using Yes 5g flexi + tplink deco x50 for 3 days. The download speed is mostly 280 to 300mb only. Good enough for me as long as it is stable. So far I didn’t experience disconnection. Performance already much better than my Unifi and maxis fiber 30mb previously. I can see some ppl complain when their download speed ONLY 500mb not 1gb…. I don’t aim and don’t need that fast speed. Very satisfied with my slow speed at 280mb for the price I pay. 😆

Deco Mesh is technology only used in TP-Link Deco products for Mesh networking.

In my case, i use Deco X50-5G as main, connected to 3 units of Deco M5.
*
can connect to M3 or M4?

Even connecting the deco x50 with asus system through LAN also cannot get them working? Deco x50 can be used to connect wirelessly with other deco mesh unit.
*
i didn't try LAN..... i find the LAN connection is slower than wireless..... i connect my TV via wifi is much better than LAN.... i tot LAN is always better ....but not the case with Deco router.... so i unplug all..

No.
Phundeck LJ maxsheet 5G is total sheet.

Same lokasi same 5g router:

YES 5G Home: max speed no cap, can torrent without VPN
U Mobile 5G: max speed no cap, cannot torrent without VPN, torrent must turn on VPN

But,
LJ CBB Maxsheet 5G: speed throttle to 300-500mbps, some apps or site like fucuking jewtube fucuking buffering, anything google, latency at fucuking least 2 seconds before anything can load. Shopee Live fucuking lag. But can torrent without VPN.

Once I turn on VPN, jewtube, google services suddenly become very fast, Shopee Live dem smooth, but speed still 300-500mbps.

I have at least 5 fucuking tickets with maxsheet, told them no VPN, everything slow, once turn on VPN, fast.
Ding dong ding dong until so called apalan 3rd level technician call me ask again apa masalah, i had to explain to him for the 8244634th times the issue:
No VPN slow, turn on VPN everything fast again. That so called malan 3rd level retardian have the audacity to tell me maybe it's the sim card problem ask me go center change sim card. Tunama geh hi minyak api naik sampai kepala hati terbakar that SH told me change sim card.
Maxsheet not only sheet network, staff also total sheet.
