It is superb in the KL suburb where I’m staying. 5G is also mostly available at the places I frequent such as Mid-Valley and Menjalara Kepong. Speed is also great, but this of course has to do with there are still very few 5G users in Malaysia. We may actually see the numbers of 5G users going up as soon as Maxis starts offering 5G to its subscribers too since Maxis is known for having wealthier client base, so more of their subscribers should have 5G mobile devices.

Too many Maxis users in Klang Valley region. But Maxis generally is still the most stable. For Genting, both Maxis and Digi are very slow.

Not necessarily so. There are times that Maxis speed test result is lower than that of Digi but somehow Maxis was able to load pages and videos faster.

My friend and I noticed similar scenario with telcos in Thailand too ! A friend working in Bangkok noted that even though he’s only on unlimited 15Mbps prepaid in Thailand, for some reason AIS Thailand 15Mbps always works faster and more stable than any of our telcos in Malaysia. I already noticed this last time when I used DTAC 3G. It was 3G only but it was faster than our 4G in Malaysia (talking about real user experience, not speed test result).
