Is anyone encountering this problem?
I will be kicked out from DNB’s B28 after certain period for some reason when i connect with my unifi mobile postpaid 99 with 4G only devices (Pixel 3)
NSG shows after kicked out my device seems to be attaching on 502 152 (Yes) B28 instead of 502 153 unifi B28
Is this a normal behaviour that they will kick u if they found out u are not connected to N78?
Because at the same location yesterday i have no problem at all , B28 + Hotspot work perfectly , but today the problem occur

QUOTE(luqman98x @ Feb 11 2023, 05:24 PM) Could be unifi & others are now began kicking you out because of what you said (device doesn't have 5G NR support), and the unifi SIM tries to attach to B28 via other PLMN but it can't? thats weird because sometimes it happened and sometime doesn't seems like its the tower itself problem but i couldn't verify it because at the same time no one is using 5G plan that attached to B28+N78 other than me

QUOTE(luqman98x @ Feb 12 2023, 03:43 PM) Maybe you should look at "Attach Reject" message in NSG (at Signaling section) if that does happen again. https://telecompedia.net/lte-release-causes/i just realized i have the screenshot actually

QUOTE(poh880 @ Feb 13 2023, 08:58 AM) It doesn't happened only to unifi mobile, u mobile also the same. Even when I connected to 5G NSA, if very low traffic you will be kicked also. DNB also doesn't allow VoLTE on their network. My area no network coverage and DNB is the only avaliable network, but can't seem to take or make calls. with Digi i can get VoLTE on B28 but not unifi mobile more worst im using Pixel 3 and until now i didn't find a proper MBN to flash inside Pixel 3 to enable unifi mobile VoLTE under B5 / 38 / 40

QUOTE(poh880 @ Feb 22 2023, 04:05 PM) You get VoLTE on band 28 but can you call out from this band? My call got cut off around 10 seconds. I think DNB use it for band transfer back to telco network. If it can't call will be cit off within few seconds. Can , call out over 1 minutes also work , last time only 7 seconds then got cut off

QUOTE(Scirwode @ Feb 23 2023, 10:10 AM) Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't VoLTE a 4G technology (hence Voice over Long Term Evolution)? Hence, it shouldn't work on 5G as it is dependant on 4G. What you are talking about is VoNR (Voice over 5G) which will only come when DNB turns on SA, which will be some time as to accommodate the 4G network, we still need to use NSA. I get it that we must complain if the service is bad (and I am on Maxis so I don't receive 5G at all) but credit where it is due, the current 5G network is much better after two years as compared to the 4G network after two years. I remember not getting a stable connection on my Nexus 7, to the point I had to get a new Sim Card again, just to prove to Maxis that it was not the table, but their service. Scirwode The NSA by DNB contains LTE B28 700MHz + NR N78 3.5GHz , you are not connected to your own telco's network when you are connecting to DNB NSA , Each onboarded telco's VoLTE was able to register through LTE B28 700MHz and should be able to perform voice call as normal network The problem is here , DNB seems like be kicking off users from LTE B28 700MHz / + NR N78 3.5GHz if voice call was performed , if the area only have B28 covered and not the telcos own network , then users will get call cut off after DNB kicking them off , or if the telco's 4G is very weak there might a chance that the call will drop to 2G , your call quality will become so shit

QUOTE(mlamlam @ Feb 26 2023, 11:23 PM) Once gov allows 2nd 5G network, DNB then has no advantage on this... collect skin very soon after this because the cost will never recover ...... talking about how many % of population coverage shouldn't be the only target .. gov should also consider the poor indoor and undergrounf coverage anyone knows how's our underground train station coverage is how? I believe none of them have 5G coverage... especially in the tunnel when the train is moving so far MRT Kajang Line & LRT Kelana Jaya line both don't have 5G B28 + N78 Even LRT Kelana Jaya Line don't have unifi / yes signal , unifi uses Celcom Band 1 in the underground section of KJL not surprised if the MRT Putrajaya Line Phase 2 Underground have 5G covered So far i know few places got DNB 5G indoor coverage : MOF / KKOMM / Lot 10 / TRX 106 / KL Sentral This post has been edited by Sam Leong: Feb 27 2023, 10:59 AM

QUOTE(mlamlam @ Feb 27 2023, 02:50 PM) Lalaport also have 5G indoor coverage but limited to shopping area, not including parking area, even Unifi / Yes has no line there MOF / KKOMM is done for their DEMO to those menteri is it ? lol the progress of indoor / underground of 5G coverage is very far below expectation while gov seems only talking about the coverage regarding population... so we shall use 5G as fixed broadband later instead?... I remembered when I was in Singapore in Jan 2023, their 5G coverage also including shopping mall underground parking area and even in the lift.... Lalaport's 5G coverage not full covered for shopping area because i get disconnected from 5G when i walk through inside the mall If im not mistaken it they have 5G coverage in certain shopping area because there is a 5G tower on Hang Tuah Monorail And another problem , we as a customer do not have proper way to provide coverage feedback to DNB directly Their coverage map is quite unreliable as they mark my house as "Covered" but I can't even get B28 signal in and outside my house

QUOTE(deano_cole @ Mar 5 2023, 06:46 AM) Wah, sure? Anyone success to get 5g for YES in iPhone? if im not mistaken yes i saw someone with iPad Pro M1 + iOS 16.4 Beta can get Yes 5G Yes and unifi don't have carrier bundle hence using generic profile from Apple Apple has enabled 5G for generic profile since iOS 16.4 Beta , so after you update you can get it of course with VoLTE support too

QUOTE(mlamlam @ May 3 2023, 12:07 PM) As said, the coverage map is a joke, it does not consider indoor area / underground area.. most indoor area does not have coverage like shopping mall or parking area. In Singapore, I also get full bar 5G signal strength in underground parking area or even in lift! for real or fake 5G, Samsung phone will show you are connected to 700Mhz or 3.5Ghz by seeing its 5G this two symbols... same , even inside their MRT I can get 5G full bar Downtown line , North South Line , East West Line

QUOTE(joshhd @ Jun 12 2023, 10:24 PM) Did they ever specify that the 62% 5G population coverage is actually inclusive of 700MHz band? Imagine if it's inclusive of 700MHz, then how many % are there for 3.5GHz band only? They could've just deploy 700MHz at a wide scale, and then claim they have nationwide 62% "5G coverage". Well yeah, that 62% are majority coming from 700MHz band Who knows maybe in reality, if it's just the 3.5GHz alone, it's barely 20% or something, but they don't want to publicly announce the actual figures for 3.5GHz band alone cuz it's gonna make them look like a loser. DNB only deploy N78 3.5GHz for 5G now 700MHz is anchor band and its 4G So the 62% actually is 5G N78

QUOTE(prosibu @ Jun 16 2023, 09:07 PM) MRT line 2 also can get... Combining both digi and celcom spectrum... These kind of speed will be slowed down once 2nd 5G network appeared as giving all 4g spectrum to 5g... Then 4g users will complain 4g slow liao... yes I can achieve 400Mbps+ on MRT Putrajaya Line (to be specified Hospital Kuala Lumpur station) but it wasn't really stable while the train is moving compared to MRT Kajang Line , i always get 4G full bar but speed while the train moving is like <5Mbps and sometimes direct No Service
