Been almost a week. Battery drain still happens but less. I suspect is the new modem firmware cos I got a lot of “no cell coverage” when sleeping . I check the battery status and it happens between 2am to 6am . Sometimes draining up to 25% just sleeping

Hi bro. Maybe can try a factory reset? Sometimes these iOS updates can screw things up unnecessarily.

Wireless charging my 13pm using a Mcdodo magsafe wireless MC-705 is hot as hell… supposedly charging at 7.5w wirelessly and its hot to the touch. I decided not to wireless charge it anymore unless really emergency
*
For MagSafe, I would only stick with the original Apple MagSafe chargers. 3rd party alternatives, especially those uncertified by Apple, I personally will stay away as I want to safeguard the battery longevity of my iPhone 13 Pro Max as much as I can.

Wireless charging, best to use MagSafe compatible ones. Less heat and charges faster vs conventional non-MFI certified wireless chargers.
*
Yeah. No point using the normal Qi-type wireless chargers with iPhones that support MagSafe. IIANM, they max out charging rate at 10 watts, while MagSafe can go a lot higher.

Anyone here not using screen protectors for their iPhone? I did noticed that my screen protector that I'm using actually degrade the display quality. It did somehow reduced the brightness and the display viewing angle. I compared my display with the one in the store.
*
Previously, I used to stick those cheap RM20-30 glass screen protectors on my iPhone. But never again. Nowadays, I rather spend more to get HODA Tempered Glass screen protectors. The oleophobic coating and clarity is just so much better.

Hey there, Im using Mcdodo power adapter as well 75W and Anker cables (type c). It get hot until 80%, i believe fast charge usually will be hot
*
You are referring to wired charging? Or wireless? We were talking about wireless charging. Apple MagSafe MFI chargers are still the ones to use and not any 3rd party non-MFI ones.

My screen protector brand amazing thing RM80 bought from switch, not sure good or not. Probably there are more expensive ones out there which are better. Still notice the differences although not very significant but still considered degradation in display quality without screen protector.
*
Oh then should be a good screen protector as well. I’m not sure how scratch resistant is the naked Ceramic Shield screen. But I’m certainly not risking it especially when I like my devices to be in pristine condition from day one until the day I retire them. 😌

I've been using MagSafe since day 1, 8 months now battery health still 100%  bruce.gif
*
That’s good to hear. So I guess the MagSafe charging heat will not really deteriorate the battery hardware much hopefully.

QUOTE(wong_86 @ Jun 8 2022, 03:40 PM)
maybe my room ambient temperature is high
*
Yeah. Heat is one of the major causes of battery degradation.

Is anyone using leather case? That are not Apple nor Nomad one?
*
So far I’m only sticking with Original MagSafe cases (have the original Apple Leather and Apple Silicone cases) for my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

3rd party cases can’t replicate the MagSafe part of the case well it seems, so it bothers me when I’m using MagSafe accessories.

So just check again. Last check on march 99%.
Usage is excessive 12hours per day.
Gps 4hours other than that social.
Will charge around 30% until 95 then unplug.

Still ok kan guys my battery health? 😅
*
Wow. Very heavy usage indeed. 13 Pro or 13 Pro Max?

My battery since launching day till date usage is down so fast. Really not sure why is this happening…Any sifus can give recommendations? PS: 13 Pro btw

Are you a heavy gamer playing graphic-intensive games like PUBG or Genshin Impact? That is likely the number one killer of batteries, aside from heavy usage under the sun (such as Grab riders using it on their bike mounts under the sun for hours everyday).

my battery since December 2021. So far so good, hopefully don't drop any sooner.

More than 12 hours usage per day + carplay for few hours.

Using Anker nano pro 521 charger to charge and unplug around 96% ~ 100%.

Not very sure if Anker nano pro charger really helps but I feel less heat generate when I touch the phone during charging compared to Ravpower 65w PD charger. Maybe can consider this charger?
*
Let me guess. Yours is the 13 Pro Max? 😅 The battery health on the Pro Max tends to be a lot better than on the regular Pro because the physical battery capacity is vastly bigger.

Yea, mine is 13 Pro Max. ah didn't know bigger battery capacity would affect the maximum capacity. mb   blush.gif
*
Haha. Then can relax. Bigger batteries normally can last much longer in terms of ageing. 😇

QUOTE(money_tree888 @ Jun 27 2022, 03:13 PM)
hi, should I get the iPhone 13 (looking at the iPhone 13 pro), or wait until iPhone 14 release?
*
Considering Malaysia stock release for iPhone 13 series was October 2021, just another 4 months to go for the iPhone 14 stocks to be released here, unless there is a delay in production due to global chip shortage, etc.

But then again, with the discounts being given now for iPhone 13 series at official Apple resellers, it’s considered a good buy too.

I used to play PUBG New State but stopped after a month, I noticed when charging it up (Using Ugreen charging head and Anker/Ugreen MFI cables) the back tends to heat it up. Nonetheless, I think i will be the first few users change battery soon lol.
*
Yeah. Heavy graphic intensive games are phone battery killers indeed. Imagine someone heavily gaming PUBG or Genshin for 5-6 hours a day everyday, the battery likely wouldn’t even make it a year before battery health drops drastically. 🥶

Hi guys, do you use any type of car chargers, or are there any particular car chargers that you recommend?
*
I’m using the Samsung 45w + 15w car charger. Works superbly with fast-charging my iPhone 13 Pro Max through the USB-Type C output of the charger.

Rumours say the camera sensor will get a big upgrade from the 12MP sensor Apple has been using for so many years.

That is one big step up from the iPhone 13 Pro series.

hey guys. I have been having issues with my whatsapp recently. the messages don't come in until i open the whatsapp itself. Didn't use to have this issue.
*
Sometimes face this issue randomly on both my iPhone and Android phone. So I reckon is more to the WhatsApp server side on pushing new messages.

Oh man, I missed it! Haha. Using the Apple Midnight Leather Case for my iPhone 13 Pro Max now and loving it.

Chose the darker color this round as it will still sort of look like new few months down the road.

The lighter colors will show quite an unnatural leather patina from what I’ve seen on YouTube.

iOS16.0 and just updated to iOS 16.0.2 same issue.
Hard reboot with Up+Down+Power Button. Same happens randomly. Sad

Have sent to Machine to diagnose. All perfect…

Wonder is iOS16 issue or hardware issue…
*
Have you tried a full wipe? Erase Everything in Settings? Maybe this can be a last-ditch effort.

If this still does not help, then very likely it’s a hardware defect. Not all hardware defects can be detected via diagnoses I guess.
