Rather than plonking RMxxxx outright, I rather pay in installment for it, and at a cheaper price. As I'm staying on the network anyway, with the same rateplan. Why care if everyone around call me stupid for going on a 36mth contract.

If i buy cash and lose the phone, I lose RMxxxx and still have to spend another sum to get another phone.
If i buy in installment and lose the phone, I lose RMxxxx-rebate and still have to spend another sum to get another phone.

If I buy cash, I am poorer immediately by RMxxxx and earn more to replenish my savings.
If I buy in installment, I can keep RMxxxx fixed in bank and earn more to pay installment over time.

Probably the real intent is to discontinue keeping their own stock of previous version; bring new version in. Retailers won't like to keep outdated version with no guarantee of being able to sell it; customers will likely skip over previous versions in favour of newer.

You can see telco themselves still selling previous previous previous versions, so i doubt iP13 going to stop manufacturing altogether too soon.

All the reviews I read says the differences between 13 and 14 are minimal, and still they increased price (but most probably due to exchange rate).

If seller haven't finished contract, it belongs to the telco and it is not supposed to sell and change owner in the first place. demand to see (1) date of contract and (2) recent bill whether it already completed or not yet.
