Singapore makes sense because they have almost no local raw products. They're heavily reliant on imported goods.
Whereas here we have Cameron Highlands, fisheries and lots of agricultural lands for farming. Doesn't make sense when these things increase in pricing.
Especially when we see farmers or fishermen still selling at their usual selling price to middlemen, but somehow when it reaches the end-users, the prices soar ridiculously high.
Begs the question, how come we don't see rich farmers or rich fishermen?
