A friend of mine gave me his old iPad2. I thought I could read ebooks with it, but every app seems like it cannot be installed as the store says iOS 9.3.5 is too old. I can watch YouTube with it from Safari, but the speakers are crackling so I have to use headphones. But then I don't see the value of a small screen when I have YT on the big TV.

I put it on Mudah for RM 250, but no one is interested so far. Seems like such a waste to just send it to the recycling center. So, seriously, what do you all advise?

Try garage sales?
Else can try foc at garage sales to people that need it...
My iPad 2 no cable to charge already....

But if you had your cable and the iPad could charge, what would you use it for?

Unfortunately I never give stuff FOC. Malaysians will take anything if it is free, no matter if they need it or not. Your experience with people may differ, but that is what I think.

Was thinking of ebooks and pdf magazines. I looked at jailbreaking the iPad, but it seems Phoenix can't do it anymore as you need an Apple developer account.

250 too high.

My iPad 3 with broken speaker and weak battery sold within 1 hour for 100 bucks on Carousell.

I have already reduced it to RM 200 on mudah. I had no idea what to put as a price initially. See how it goes. If still cannot reduce some more in time.

Thanks a lot guys.

If u have no use for it… why not buy a few new cables for it and make it usable and DONATE it to an orphanage or old folks home.. they could use it as simple entertainment music player

Thanks for the suggestion. Donating something that cannot realistically be used is a syok-sendiri move, done by a wanker. After all, if it cannot realistically be used, then who cares if it is donated, right? But, you can feel good claiming "I donated an iPad to the orphanage". Which is the reason I posted here to to find out if it can realistically be used, as this is the very first iOS device I have ever had.

In other words, no point donating the iPad, and transfer the trouble of thinking how to recycle it to the orphanage/home. They don't need that extra burden on their minds. Better I sell it and donate the money to them as that would more useful.

Now, if you can suggest how to make the iPad USABLE, and worth it to be donated, I'm all ears.

You mentioned in this above post “ CANNOT BE REALISTICALLY BE USED” in your post based on your opinion. Then u are asking how to make it usable. Gave u a suggestion and you seem to be self answering know it all trolll..

Wasting time thread.

Okay, noted syok-sendiri wanker. Oh, BTW, not my fault if you have reading comprehension problems.
