Asking, has anyone shipped laptop from US before? What's the shipping fees (typical) and tax (when arrived at MY)?

For laptop about 4kg in total weight. Thanks in advance.

You mean Amazon pricing all inclusive including shipping to MY? Since laptop have wifi, bluetooth (network stuffs), wouldn't it trigger customs? I thought need approval for importing stuffs with networking stuffs.

US prices are cheaper, I bought a Microsoft Surface Pro considerably cheaper than prices here. Used Yellow Porter for shipment.

Unless you want to buy 2nd hand from oversea. Microsoft Surface Pro brand new from Amazon and Malaysia is nearly same price. Once your package reach Malaysia Custom, you will get another import tax. Amazon price included export tax only. Any package/item value over RM500 will face import tax. But sometime if you lucky you can receive your package at your doorstep without further custom tax. So far only 4 out of 5 times I ordered from US was escape from the custom tax.

3C product not really worth buying from US because price nearly the same except if you buying Apple products. Apple products is categorized under Luxury category, this is told to me by Custom officer.

Certain laptop spec are much cheaper and better spec than ours. For example HP AMD 5700U, sale USD 430, 15.6 inch, more ports, colour choice, options, etc. Another one is gaming Legion 5 17" USD 699 AMD 5800H spec. For the same/similar spec here the price difference is more about RM 1.3k to 3k for the gaming laptop. Have bought some stuff from US before, kena tax, but not much. But still a lot cheaper and better quality.

Don't waste your money. Not easy sirim approval all kind of problem. Better buy here.
