I will be going abroad sooner and I want to buy a compact camera before that.

My budget is around RM800++.

I want to buy a camera which is not really bulky, can be easily put into pocket, since I am going to travel a lot.
Currently, I am considering Panasonic FX10, but apparently, it is not that famous. I went to lowyat and had a hands-on experience on this thing and I like it a lot. Perhaps, because of the salesman being very persuasive... ahah sweat.gif

But I welcome any other suggestions. Brand doesn't matter as long as it shoots fine everywhere.

P/S: Oh ya, is Leica that good compared to other lenses? The salesman told me that everytime I asked about other cameras... unsure.gif

very thight budget you have there... with RM 800++ wont get much variety of product.

I do feel that Nikon have better quality in pictures. I m using one also. Old model but still in good peformance.

but one thing about nikon cameras is that it is not so user friendly compared to canon...

haha I don't mind the user friendliness factor in buying camera... I like to experiment on things...

Anyway, which product do you like to suggest from Nikon?

I know RM800 is kinda tight too... I am willing to extend to RM900 though...

ok.. what you can do is.... you go to shop.. make survey which model of canon and nikon or panasonic camera that you can buy with your budget... that is the best. Then you can also ask for opinion at the shops... i m sure that they will recommend you the best range from your budget ! icon_rolleyes.gif

nice meh...~ smile.gif

in fact I've taken a look at FE230 beforehand, or was it FE280? hmm.gif hmm.gif (either way, they are in FE-bloodline)
(i like the auto smile shot feature...wherein when you smile, the camera captures automatically...
Last time I nego-ed got RM760. thumbup.gif a good buy, but then ixus70 has received many positive reviews, I can't just neglect this.. laugh.gif

anyway, my advice, run up a survey and read every review out there and then test it yourself. if you don't like it, leave it~
(like i did with FX10... laugh.gif )
