Kinda disagree with this statement. Dark can look so uncle as well. It really depends on owner's preference, but if cannot or unable to make up your mind, just go with lighter or mid range color, avoid dark color. But again, really depends on your overall decor and renovation.

But if you considering, and if you have budget, my take is, do it, get SPC, dont need to worry about what is SPC, vinyl, wood... wood is for rich people, SPC is for everybody else. As simple as that. It can really change your entire house's mood. It's the best thing i've done for my house, and i felt that the 15k spent is totally worth it. FYI, 15k is for 2 storey and stairs.
