Hi all. Anyone knows any tyre alignment shops that I can go for alignment. The shop I went where I bought their tyre change via lazada didn't do a good job (YL Auto Services). Barely 5 mins and they remove the alignment machines.

I have changed tyres a few times and all my alignments usually take more than 15 mins. One had at least 30 mins.

This 5 mins is surely poorly done coz the machine monitor still showing red on left tyre and green on right tyre. I ask the person, he says don't disturb them do work and monitor is wrong. Kinda stupid. And I paid 25 for it.

So can someone recommend a good one around SS2 area that is not too expensive. Thanks.

PS. Found a shop which does it for my company car fleets.

Yep, agree this 5 minute (or for that matter a 15 minute ) job is not an alignment job per se but merely 'checking' or show-show business with a view of unjustifiably open mouth asking for RM25 payment.

Surprise that you didn't 'refuse' payment for this kind of outright cheats ??

Have you tried the second shop that does your company fleets ?

Just be aware that majority of wheels alignment jobs seems disappointing ending up with car still drifts or pulls to one side, crooked steering wheel etc 'after' wheel alignment adjustment.

Edit: TS, whats your car model in question ? Probably rear wheels are un-adjustable?

For best in town alignment I only trust my fleet to Kee Hin OKR (the little row of shoplots after the BHP station coming down the ramp from federal/ mid valley entering OKR) https://maps.app.goo.gl/fLeabncFpUircHjXA

Same price as what you paid..I just went there last weekend to have new tyres fitted.

Seems to hear about good words on Kee Hin Jln Klang Lama rather often.

RM25 is considered very very cheap, considering Kee Hin's rather good reviews/reputations.

May I know adjustments on your car (what car model?) is only done on Front Wheel only with un-adjustable Rear alignment angles?

No drifts/pulls to one side with a 12 o'clock straight steering wheel after alignment?

My issue is front wheel. My car is Toyota Vios. I did with another shop last time in Penang. Was good. Guess Selangor has more crooks.

Hmmm........... just an after-thought.

Vios Front is MacPherson suspension probably whose Front camber comes without factory adjustment camber bolts.

If you haven't installed an after-market Front eccentric camber bolts set (and the alignment shop didn't offer this option to you), then they can't adjust your Front camber. However they should be able to adjust Front toes though.

The red you remarked could have meant Front camber(s), in which the alignment shop couldn't do anything without camber bolts?

Vios Rear suspension is torsion beam type without factory adjustments unless one go for some kind of mods.

Yes correct. Runs true and straight. The old tyres worn very evenly throughout the tread face (no makan tepi).

This was for a 2014 mitsu mirage with the special edition 15in rims.
Adjustments only performed on front wheels only. Believe nothing much needed to be done on the rears.

The suspension drawing and deets at https://mirageforum.com/forum/showthread.ph...isions-changes)

As for this car too, since day 1, never changed any camber bolt/strut bolts.
Achieving the bold above and even tyre wear is kind of the Ultimate of wheel alignment .......
which somehow appears very hard for a typical wheel alignment shop to deliver nowadays, never mind the super duper modern computerised and laser/infra red systems in use .

Kee Hin must have gotten some 'tricks' inside their pockets as opposed to most other wheel alignment shops in the market.

Thank you for the detailed and informative link on Mitsu Mirage pointing to non-adjustability to its Rear Torsion Beam suspension design.

Since you haven't paid or installed an after-market Front camber bolts before since new, then I would venture to speculate the Mirage came with factory-installed Front eccentric camber bolts ?

Tyre price is similar as online price..
Alignment depends on your vehicle complexity.. normal city car very fast and cheap.. special case pickup truck one cost more (because it involve 2 seniors - the boss and one older uncle to do) "its not so much about the money but other places just cannot do and/or just simply hantam and rounded the nuts, and its still not picture perfect job"
*
Agree with you that some shops simply doesn't have the skill and capability (or probably most shops) to do a picture perfect alignment job.

RM30 or thereabouts probably applies to those with one and only adjustment on Front Toes from factory like Avanza, Vios, City, Perodua Hyundais etc.

For these categories of car owners (which forms the majority) I would encourage all to acquire a set of Front eccentric camber bolts (which aren't a scam as purportedly believed) to 'make' alignment shops adjusting front cambers whenever is necessary for almost similar price point.

Most D segment cars like Optima Sonata Camry Accords etc have independent rear suspension systems like multilink or wishbones are expected to be charged a higher rates where its rear toes and/or rear cambers are adjustable, whether stock or with after-market parts like adjustable rear toe/camber arms or links.
