Hey there, thanks for your response! I am aware that ebay and Amazon have them on sale but I am more interested in finding a local entity that sells them at reasonable pricing as delivery would be faster etc.
But looks like the chance of that is very unlikely? Almost everything here seems to be like for 'education' or potato models haha.
I have way too many x86 laptops and I just gotten an Asus recently.
Local seller usually sell outdated model or higher price on some newer model. Amazon shipping quite fast actually, I purchase 3 units from them and shipping take only a week from US to Malaysia, including clearance as well. The packing also top notch.
But ChromeOS is quite light weight to run, most low spec model will run well, just don't expect to run android app, thats it. Some important aspect including screen quality, keyboard, and speaker, I would really consider mid range model.
x86 laptops can't get good battery life compare to Arm base ChromeBook. I am pretty impressed by the battery life from my Duet, it is better then my iPad Pro even it is small size and small battery.
BTW, I am just a fresh ChromeOS user since Apr, the Duet is my 1st ChromeOS device, and will never use iPadOS for web base software again after that.
