Biggest difference would be sensor size. Also, the camera's you've listed are called Prosumers. When you use the term Semi-Pro digital cameras, ppl tend to think DLSR Territory where Semi-Pro models would be like the Canon EOS 20D/30D/40D and Nikon D200/D300. Well at least thats the impression I get.

If you're looking for manual barrel zoom like Prosumer models, I would also suggest taking a look at the Fujifilm 6500FD. Though a bit long in the tooth, it still is one of the better performing camera especially when ISO performance is taken into consideration as well as being able to give you a good feel of what a DSLR Camera would feel like due to its size and weight.......In case you decide to upgrade in the future.

JulChin,

thanks for the correction on the word or Prosumer and Semi-Pro...Haa..I thought every piece of DSLR called Pro..

Then,my office actually own a semi-pro cam Canon 10D, am i right? yawn.gif

One thing i gonna get a Prosumer Cam is because of the LCD preview. Most of the time while we capture the Picture at higher and lower angle we might not see what is the picture there...so,the flexible twisted LCD might give us a hand..

2ndly,for the stage now,i'm still wish to improve the skill of shooting before invest a DSLR which is need some token to get a few different Lens to support behind.

What i know is Lumix and Fuji did provide a quite pro result on Twist-barrel Zoom lens and the picture quality look-like Pro.

And, what i saw online is, some of the DSLR/Semi-Pro are included a basic 28-55mm lens isn't it, Like Nikon or Pentax?

Atlast, which is the most worth stuff s'ld i get it on this stage?Prosumer or Semi-Pro...of cause the Price and Lens are consideration.

Will check out 6500FD!

Thanks wink.gif

no, i'm using S3 IS biggrin.gif
Fuji S6500 around 1400RM, S9500 around 1700RM, better ISO control
Panasonic Fz50 expensive, around 2000RM, got Leica lens ( a bit beter than Fuji ), beter macro
better go for Fuji S6500, the advantage of Fz50 over Fuji S6500 is not worth 600RM.

around RM2000. ofcause like chinese said get the Cheap and Nice product...haa...lens,aperture and photo quality are the most concern.

Is the IS really useful?if yes might be consider.

And sure,if 1.5k can get a Good quality product, then will have it...If 2k can't get the Good product and i'm sure need to put my budget higher than 2k to get a OK product...don't wish to regreat after it!!

Thanks for helps...wondering and wondering now..haa..

I doesnt know the latest technology from Fuji , but then dSLR focusing is very accurate.
Forget about Prosumer camera if you're serious into photography. smile.gif

Oh yea, you'll have more fun in dSlr world too. smile.gif

It's very worth to get second hand 350D/400D which with kitlens and other accessories.
If you would like to get new one , i guess the D40 is at 2k + -. wink.gif

Andy,

Seems, you are quite highly recommended on Nikon...Nikon fans ah?? biggrin.gif
Why Nikon? Not Canon and so on...? yawn.gif
Eh bro,any website of yours that we can take a tour on your pretty shoot?

Eh,DSLR of couse good but high investment on the Lens...like Macro and Tele if the kit lens is 38-80mm (hope i note the right thing haa..)
