I rented out my unit for nearly five years and each time I take back my property, I’d fine some sort of modification lol. Last time it was print canvas with nails drilled in the wall, followed by protective stickers on the cabinets and most recently, found that the last tenants actually added tinting to all the windows. The tenants never asked for my permission too.

Since most of them were good tenants and their modifications actually enhanced my property, I just allowed it and gave them back their deposit in full.
