You guys are jumping the gun, please get all your facts right before bombarding and accusing my team, Hybrid.
We had alot of roster problems right before the World Cyber Games Finals. Firstly, Surendran and Sanjay chose to participate in the CGS with Team Full Metal Jacket, this happened 14 days before the World Cyber Games Finals. We then selected Abdul Hakim and Gerard Anand as their replacements. As the earliest visa interview was 1 week before the event, It got even harder for us. Gerard's visa got rejected, We were given 12 hours to find a replacement for him. This was because there were no more interviews before the 2nd of October (day of departure). This meant that we were on a lookout of a last, no matter who, whether he knew how to play cs or not. With some luck we found one of bobo's friends Nicholas Corneilius. He doesn''t play CS competitively. In his lifetime he had only touched the game less than 10 times. He has other interests, so we cannot blame him. We attended the event knowing that we wouldn't be at our best or even close to our best. We weren't even a team, We weren't the real team Hybrid. We couldn't even practice. This meant that we were bound to get steamrolled by teams at the event. We did our best individualy but as you all should know, CS is a team game, without practice or strats we weren't gonna go anywhere. On behalf of Hybrid I'm sorry to dissapoint you guys, We gave our maximum but this is the limit to a team not even fully completed. More news at www.teamhybrid.com.my Till then, look out for some updates and changes in Team Hybrid. |

I'm not saying that any of you blamed my team, I'm just saying please get your facts right before anything is said against us. There were 3/5 members that were the same as the Malaysian Qualifiers. But it doesnt matter how many were the same, If its not 5/5 then the team wont be fully prepared and wont be as good as what we are capable of.

Too bad for ur team is that Sniggy & Syntax did not participate in the grand final which ended like what u hv said of not having the full power of 5/5.
As what u hv said, CS is a team game. Get ur team members priority correct and ur team will sure shine in next year WCG. |

The team representing Singapore are friends of Team Hybrid. We are on the same level if we had used our full lineup. Singapore and Malaysia are on par when it comes to Counterstrike. So I dont see why should we be scared? The real reason behind not playing TitaNs would NOT be released as it is confidential between the two teams. But I can assure you its nothing to do with fear, It was to do with something that happened in the event. If you are to continue to flame my team over nothing, just go kill yourself Graham Matthew Chin StaiN://www.teamhybrid.com.my |

are wcg starcraft replays available now?
well for me, savior losing to PJ wasnt really a big surprise at all.. PJ is a well-known Protoss since 3-4 years ago. he's fast, he's good in both macro and micro, he's a pro in china. fyi, his previous name before this was Linyu)PJ. now see the point? |

QUOTE(ahtiven @ Oct 11 2007, 11:24 AM) are wcg starcraft replays available now? That is a huge surprise to many of us. IMHO, Korean still the best SC in the world seeing how SC merged into their culture and their efforts in developing bunch of SC pro-gamers. Moreover, Savior holds a good record, if not the best record in ZvP. well for me, savior losing to PJ wasnt really a big surprise at all.. PJ is a well-known Protoss since 3-4 years ago. he's fast, he's good in both macro and micro, he's a pro in china. fyi, his previous name before this was Linyu)PJ. now see the point? Of course we know who's PJ is, he's been the past few WCG China rep. But that also point out something that, China lacks SC talent, just like Malaysia. Look at Korea, the participants they have sent, Boxer, yellow, xellos, savior and whole bunch, different participants every year. I wouldnt put PJ at the same level to savior though... |

We do not lack of SC talent, we lack of sponsors. Pj is and will not be the same level as savior. The reason why savior lost is only because he didn't practice on that map AT ALL. None of the koreans did because they thought they'd be winning without knowing the map. You can refer that to stork's interview after winning WCG. Pj took the advantage of map understanding and got the victory. Koreans are way too superior compared to foreigners. Their understanding for the game is far more than you can imagine.

QUOTE(Ash @ Oct 8 2007, 04:10 PM) This God Zerg has been in 5 MSL finals in a row winning 3 of them only losing the first MSL appearance to Chojja who was known to be best ZvZ in world and the last one against Bisu who's a PvZ beast. He also holds an OSL title in his belt beating Nada 3-1 in OSL January 2007. His ZvP winning percentage was above 85% thats why the loss against Pj is so unexpected. Pj did a really good job there. I gotta blame the Korean WCG organizers for not using WCG maps in their qualifier. Savior seemed to be so lost in WCG maps like he hasn't played there before at all. Replays.net just released the 3 game replays between PJ vs Savior. After watching it, I guess I have to agree what you've said,1st game: I personally think that both of them havent really warm up yet, both were floating near to 2k resources and 1k gas each, made me ....... From this first game, I already felt that something wrong with savior, I mean, this is the first time I watched his replay, but, whether this is the first game or final, this aint what a "legend" suppose to be... When Savior destroy the early expansion of PJ, I thought the game should ends within another 10 minutes, but I was wrong, he failed to make use of this advantage and ends up both to go from strength to strength. At the end, overlord drop save the day. 2nd game: A LT similar like (judging from starting point, I dont even has a chance to look how does the map look like). Double gateways rush from PJ vs Savior fast expansion, I was like WTF ?? Savior seems like aint ready for such tactic at all... At first, I told myself, ah... maybe the korean never use this old tactic anymore. But when the dragoon attacking the expansion resources line without ANY challenges (I think he dont even know there is an entrance to his resources line = =!!), it showed that he know nutz about the map. 3rd game: Another very LT-like map. This time savior looks very gang chiong already by executing lings-rush... Hmm... ling rush on protoss in LT ?? It failed and hardly, are do no damage at all which I think cause him the game. Ends up PJ's 200 pop vs Savior's 130 pop. GG |
