Most OEM HU are locked. Even if it is Android based. It is best you check with the dongle seller if any same car model have successfully pair with the dongle. I've tried on my car's stock HU and doesn't work. Luckily the seller agree to let me try and full refund if not working. Gone with a full HU replacement and I'm happily with wireless CarPlay.

QUOTE(netbeans @ Nov 15 2021, 04:14 PM) Yeah.. this is a hassle tht I'm not willing to take. Buy dongle, sekali tak boleh pakai. The full HU swap, 3rd party aftermarket or still under tha manufactrurer's oem? 3rd party. Even factory offer they will slap you hefty price. What for, since HU warranty are very short.

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Nov 20 2021, 05:20 PM) Bro, which HU did you get for wireless carplay? It is not generic type like Sony/ Pioneer/ Alpine. But made specifically for my model of car. As there are some car function that display on the HU, which the Android HU retain.
