Here comes the new F790 from Thinkware.

For this installation, it’s a bit too complicated for me. So I got Sicurez to install for me.

Videos
Below is recorded in HEVC 1920×1080 30fps with an overall bit rate of 6,991kb/s with HDR On for the front and rear cam.



















Final thoughts

With the new plugin mount, the installation looks very neat with only a cable going to the F790. But the new hardwire kit was a bit bulky as it needs to accommodate the rear cam and other new connectors.

The F790 has some new functions like video out to a vehicle media player, privacy recording, HDR, and Super Night Vision 3.0. But you can only use either HDR or SNV3.0, not both enabled together.

You can now set the volume for individual notifications.

The F790 looks like a good successor to its famous sibling, the F770.
