people spend on things they think is worth its value, some people just dont think spending so much on car purchase and maintainence is worth it and they would rather spend their money on something else, you dont die from not having an expensive car.Some people would rather drive a below 100k car rather than spending half a million on a car.

rich people really dont need to proof anything, or make people believe they are rich, if you need to do that you are not there yet.

It depend on what you consider rich, if a guy worth 1 million spending half a million on car is he rich? or is a guy who worth 10m but drive a myvi richer?
