Please advise me on the above. Im using a ported box now. But then realised that sealed box sounds better. Therefore, i plugged / stuffed the hole with a sponge folded thick. Is this small DIY plugging the port making the sub become like a real sealed box?

QUOTE([peanut) ,Sep 18 2007, 11:55 PM]Hey dude, i think your box is undersized for a ported box. sealed sounds better because they are more accurate and less boomy due to the fixed amount of air in the box. so if u wan SQ switch to a properly designed sealed box n u wud be v hapy undersized? not so sure wor... newbie in this kinda stuffs. so that means my DIY sealed one like the one in the picture is not good? hahaha... damn. i wonder if the accessory shop would like to trade in... mine new one ler. at first, my ported box bass very powerful can shake my car's interior but then boomy on certain types of music. then i got sick of it and i stuffed the port with folded sponge till very tight mah...and it sounded much better and accurate bass.
