Hello.

Anybody getting random nameserver resolution timeouts on UniFi with OpenWRT 21.02.1?

Try ping the 8.8.8.8 to see is there any unstable connection issue.
(Sometimes unifi to Google dns will having a short period of packet loss issue)

No issues with ping.

Here is summary of ping 8.8.8.8 -n 100

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
   Minimum = 6ms, Maximum = 63ms, Average = 11ms

Anyway, long story short. when I realized WAN IP in router was different from those external IP checking websites, i started looking around.
So Unifi has put cheaper subscriptions (below 300Mbps) behind CGNAT.

Once I setup DNS over HTTPS on OpenWRT, there were no more nslookup random timeouts when I point my clients' DNS to the router IP.
It might mean their CGNAT setup is wrong, or it might also mean somebody is doing something to the DNS queries...

Also my webserver is up again after tunneling traffic through a free service and adding a DDNS web redirect.

same problem on my side, didnt know what is going on to the internet. discord always show no route, rtc connecting
