Manchester United fan.

Looking forward to El Sackiko tonight.
Probably going to start off watching LEI vs ARS.
Undecided between LIV vs BRI or MCI vs CRY. Chelsea should win easy against pre-powered up Newcastle.

Then it is the big one for me.

Sure. As long as people are civil and abide by forum rules, the mods are usually reasonable.
Some people do get overly emotional and go full on expletive laden posts. That's just asking for it.

MU is going to win this against spurs because expert pundek has gone on self exile. hopefully he'll stay away for at least a month so that Ole can get a few more wins to save his job.

/k is more for trolling and spam replies.
Hard to get a discourse going there. It's more towards an Expert Pundit type if you get what I mean.

Might give the LIV-BRI game a watch as expect that to be best in terms of entertainment in the 10pm slot.
Liverpool needs to get points on the board before Jan and the African Cup of Nations kicks in. First 11 wise, Liverpool can beat anybody but am not convinced of squad depth.

I don't think last week was a case of United losing the plot. We have been playing like that consistently for the past few games but teams weren't good enough to punish us. Even the Atalanta result was a get out of jail card. Southampton and Wolves were basically due to De Gea heroics.

Leicester were the first good team we ran into and they hit us for 4.
Then Liverpool were the first great team we ran into and they hit us for 5 in 50 minutes.

Tactically, it's already been on the cards for quite a while now. Since last season, look at all the times United went behind.

Wasn't aware mod permission was required for a thread here.

I went through the rules & reg for the forum. Did not see any rules against.
Intend to keep this thread clean.

LEI vs ARS. Lets see if the Arsenal runs continues.

Wow, Arsenal 2-0 up.
Too easy.

Seeing how some clowns act in their opponent fans thread, it wont be easy to have a proper discussion here. Most likely will turn to /k kind of thread, but lets see how.

On the other hand, arsenal is playing well. Leicester cant keep up with them. And seems like arteta beginning to identify his strongest 11, so stability will be there soon.

We can at least try. Being dictated by the actions of clowns means we miss out on the good stuff in life.
Arsenal really coming together as a team. Quite a run they are putting together. If not for their injury/Covid disaster at the start of the season, they'll be right up there.

Leicester is struggling to find their footing. Perhaps the directness of Arsenal's play rattling them.

Hard to say, i am still keeping my finger crossed on this. Last year liv only earn 1 point out of 6 possible points against brighton, losing at anfield in the process. And brighton starts very well this season.

Brighton switched it up at halftime and parked 3 players upfront.
Liverpool lost intensity in the second half. I felt Liverpool took the foot off the gas. It really felt like 2 points dropped from Liverpool's peerspective.

Brighton will do Brighton things, they are really good.
Liverpool looked shakier the more the game went on.

I almost didn't recognize Spurs anymore! They were incredibly bad.
Spurs were like United last week. United weren't great today. It was Spurs being really bad. I think Spurs players have downed tools.

I think Wolves were a team that Nuno built. See the Portuguese base.
Spurs are a team he inherited and he can't figure out the pieces.

It would be hilarious if Nuno got sacked and Spurs got Conte while United hung on to Ole.
As a fan, I'm tripping on this possibility.

City are the victims this week. Where are the City fans around the forums?

Oh wait, there are 6 City fans in the stadium. Maybe one of them will have a Lowyat account. smile.gif

Arsenal fans, what a revival. What is it 8 or 9 games now on a run? The first few games were an injury/Covid related crisis. Tomiyasu and White looking steady, and Ramsdale is first choice keeper now after that performance. And talking about the Gunners, what about your ex player Vieira doing the entire League a favour by downing City.

Chelsea, nothing to banter about. Steady rocketship up the League.

And West Ham is right up there. If Moyes never managed United before, people would be clamouring for him to.

Arsenal performance is what is expected earlier. Their first 3 games defeats are against city and chelsea, so no big deal if they lost. In fact, most teams will lose to both of them. Their signings are good, and best thing is, most if not all are under age of 23.

U can see arteta beginning to gel them up this season, and if he can keep the same team in the near future, they could be a force to be reckoned with.

QUOTE(ry8128 @ Sep 1 2021, 01:34 PM)
I am also very interested to see what happen to arsenal with their signings. I would say their signings are not bad at all, except maybe slightly on the higher price. If arteta can gel them up, we should see a very exciting battle for europe with spurs and leicester.

What happened to Liverpool in the 2nd half?
The first half intensity was lost and it got worse as the game wore on. I recall in the first half the pressure on Brighton was so great that the Brighton keeper fluffed a clearance into Mane which was ruled out.

Waiting for representation from other fans. Arsenal, Chelsea, City, etc.
Or whoever wants to jump onto the newcastle bandwagon early and be an early adopter.

Here we go you Spurs fans! I am sure this is a moment which most of you are waiting for.

As a United fan, I'm frustrated by the United board. A club who are only 2 points behind us has strengthened with an elite manager. January transfer window I expect Spurs to make major moves.
What does the rest of the League think?
