QUOTE(DeanKueh @ Sep 21 2007, 03:20 PM) Yes, it is quite common for the N93 and N93i, and it seems that Nokia has already forgotten about the N93 users and have been focusing on the N93i's..You should see the firmware update change log for N93i you will scream. What are the major update changes on N93i that the latest N93 firmware doesn't have? Can describe a bit?

hey thanks for the log. but i do agree with you. they should tweak the n93 too, but at least it is still acceptable except for a few niggles. the n93i, IMHO, doesn't look as classy and timeless as the n93.

QUOTE(hanissyazwan @ Oct 13 2007, 10:52 PM) how could i cancel the call when the shell is closed?! and is it really the speaker is MONO? speaker should be stereo. but not much use since both left and right speaker are so near each other. cancel the call while shell is closed? cannot do that. but can do so for N90.

If not for the bigger cover screen, better firmware and 'shiny' outlook of the N93i, it really should be called N92.5 or something. The N93i is just not as good in quality compared to the N93 because of N93i's cheap plastic feel and weak hinge/parts. Also, the smaller-capacity battery and mono-recording puts the N93i's video-recording performace behind the N93.

Any of you know any shops that still are selling N93 (authorized set) brand new? I know it's discontinued, but i'm just wondering.

If you want some really AMAZING themes, can check out http://www.pizero.netBut then some of the themes make my N93 cover display backlight to turn on frequently. Maybe most of them are created for Symbian 9.2 or buggy.

QUOTE(hanissyazwan @ Oct 22 2007, 02:19 AM) ei everybody, videos (640x480) taken with n93i play smoothly on the phone and tv but not with real player or quicktime over the pc.. with the phone, the bitrate of the video is greater compared to the bitrate when you download the same vid to your pc and playback becomes CHOPPY... has anyone observed this? can anyone explain why this happens... videos (352x288) taken with my n90 before play smoothly using real player and quicktime...thanks a lot... for me, it's the same. smooth for both phone and PC. you mean once the video is transferred, the bitrate drops? are u sure? becuase for my case, both files in the phone and on PC are the same size. if the bitrate changes, size would change too.

I love the F=3.3 aperture on the N93. Even though less light enters into the optics, there is more depth of field, meaning that more areas are in focus for macro shots. An example is in this photo i took with my N93.

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Nov 11 2007, 11:39 AM) Step by step on opening your N93 flip with just one hand. Preferred right hand. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 1. Hold it this way. [attachmentid=328264] 2. Use your thumb and push the upper flip, try not to push your thumb too deep as you might damage your LCD screen [attachmentid=328265] 3. Lift it up. [attachmentid=328266] 4. Finally you may use your thumb to push forward or better with your index finger to assist it by dragging the flip mechanism to flip out. [attachmentid=328267] Wow. This is awesome! Thanks. Yeah it does work but i feel as though it is damaging the flip a bit because of the slight forced movement to the left while trying to lift my thumb up. Which part of your N93 flip is loosen now? Mind to show pic? You giving me phobia now.

The N93i has two microphones on the same side, while the N93 has two microphones on separate sides of the phone??
Hence, the N93i's stereo recording may be problematic due to bad placement of the microphones??
