Hi,
i booked an aircond service, and they seem to have cleaned the filter from dust & stuff, and the foul smell from the unit is gone, so far so good, but there's still mold inside and i thought this was covered,
Is it normal not to clean the mold in the unit when servicing an aircond ?

QUOTE(FusionXY @ Oct 24 2021, 01:26 PM) Full service or partial service? Full means dismantle the parts one by one and out from the wall. Also clean the unit cover. Partial means unit remain at the wall then remove one by one. I wasn't offered a choice, is there a big difference in price between both ? I paid only 60 RM for this service. And last time, same price, full clean on the ground. That's why i'm kinda lost. This post has been edited by Without_a_clue: Oct 24 2021, 01:34 PM

QUOTE(FusionXY @ Oct 24 2021, 02:03 PM) Normally full clean about RM100-200. I was told 200 RM for a chemical cleaning, i think they bath the whole unit in some chemical bath. I'll start by spraying some vinegar first and use full service next time. This post has been edited by Without_a_clue: Oct 24 2021, 02:05 PM

QUOTE(kesvani @ Oct 24 2021, 02:06 PM) KEK. RM60 how much you expect. Last time 20 year ago my bapak time service already 100-120 but that dismantle whole unit. Well, 60 RM for 30-45 minutes work is about triple the median pay of an aerospace engineer in Malaysia

QUOTE(azbro @ Oct 24 2021, 02:08 PM) Most of the time, you get what you paid for. RM60 covers only the cost of the transport. The people doing it also need salary. Chemical and gas also need money. That's why RM120 to 200 If someone give me RM60 to service, either I will tell them to fly kite, or just clean the filters. You admit though that the pay is great, even if it's hard to fill your schedule. I believe it's best as a part time work. This post has been edited by Without_a_clue: Oct 24 2021, 02:11 PM

QUOTE(kesvani @ Oct 24 2021, 02:11 PM) Admin salary free. Store, transportation free. You talking about salary not the cost of running business. The time to travel and back from your place is longer than the time to service your aircond What about going freelance, what would be the road blocks, technical education aside ?
