+1

currently only use it on my gaming hp

main hp kenot lah, even stupid mcdee apps also detect it
*
yeah sometimes it baffles me why so many non-critical app have root detection also lol
but it could be the app developer they outsourced to just throw in the root detection while develop for them

QUOTE(Angelic Layer @ Oct 21 2021, 03:58 PM)
Some app will not be able to load still?
Maybe only on some tablet which doesn't do mobile connections.
*
many apps use ready-to-use root detection library
and those known library/approach there will be people develop anti detect method for it, and you can install it to bypass detection
but some app implement their own root detection method that is not known to many people, then it's very hard to bypass them
not to mention the nowadays apps update frequency is so high, same goes to the root detection
and many banking app even force you must use their newest version of app, so you can't use it until the anti detection updated
it's all cat and mouse game

so end up I just give up root/jb
the only good benefit I miss is with root/jb you can install proper ad blocking software

Most brands void warranty if you root.

Those that don't I think are xiaomi oneplus.

last time yes because rooting unlock many nifty mod and features. but these days stock android is very good dy feel not worth to root just for 1-2 extra features

although nowadays there selective system root. much easier unlike the older days XD

during early days of android.. root open up lots of feature a capabilities..

then with each iteration, a lot of those feature is polish (security side) and integrate into the OS itself..

so now with android 11 and 12, not much u get besides bypass security feature of the OS..

Well if you know the way around Magisk, you can still use banking apps on any rooted phone.
Yes last time people root the phones for some very basic functions, such as automating some process, ad blocking, etc. Right now many of those functions can be done by using non-root app.

Root is still very useful for power users though.

I used to root my android phones and jailbreak my apple devices. Not anymore. I need them to work consistently. Sad face.

imo, rooting becomes not worth the effort ever since rooting became hardware attestation became a thing. The good era is over.

I used to root my phone because my phone was missing a lot of features and the performance deteriorated very badly. Nowadays, I'm not missing any features on my phone and the performance is still good even though it hasn't gotten any updates in a year. Let's see if it's still good after another year.

it not just about hiding the root status . u also need to make sure your SafetyNet doesnt fail after root.

Some apps very clever just check for safetynet status . some like Grab apps for example, very retard one . they request root permission to detect root doh.gif (they used to) user can simply deny and proceed to use the apps like usual

on some phone it is not worth to root cos your camera quality will be shiet and other proprietary feature will be disable eg: SONY
