Happened to pass by this little town again. Visited Popo Longhouse Cafe @ Mantin.

Tried their laksa, bubur gandum & ABC.

user posted image
RM 7/bowl. Tasted good, may not be as good as Penang”s laksa but way above average.

user posted image
Bubur gandum at RM 4/bowl. Tasted good, not too sweet , just nice .

This ABC brought back the memories of childhood taste. The shaved ice was smooth.

I always saw self-service instant noodles or ramen convenient stores on youtube, places where u have a huge selection of instant noodles, garnishes, topping etc. Do we actually have a shop like this in klang valley?

Not to my knowledge. If you are looking instant Ramen choices, can try out Don Don Donki.

Wow nice, it's like a supermarket version of Shojikiya right? Can pay a visit some day, just checked their fb the nearest branch is tropicana.

But still looking forward to instant ramen stores where u can choose, cook and dine in there, i think it will be fun. Korea and japan sure got already. Even thailand also got.

Anyway thanks for the recommendation. Been tired of K-market and mix.com, can try don don donki after this.

Today tried up a standalone Pan Mee shop at Subang Bestari know as Pan Mee 138. It is quite common to see some kopitiam with the number (Chinese like to put number at the back of the shop name which signify some good fortune / their favorite 4d number ).

I was being told that the shop was selling a good Tom Yam Pan Mee & a must try during the visit. Here was how the order looked like.

Total cost = my AC Manager buy for the visit, I went there eat only.

I usually will order the the dry version but due to the healthier option, I decided to opt for the white pepper soup version. Selling at RM 8.00/ bowl. Patronizing this stall almost 15 years ago. The same kopitiam used to have a famous chicken rice & char siew rice stall but the stall already ceased the operation from my current visit.

Visited the Restoran Golden Spring @ Shah Alam for the Char Siew after tip off by the forumer. It was a hidden gem, the Char Siew came quite close to TNR but the fat % is higher.

Lukut Dirty Noodle. Found out there was another variant of dirty noodle at N9, hence decided to try it out as I passed by N9 today.

Dirty Noodle - fried hand made noodle ( wantan noodles) with pork lard & with wok hei . Price at RM 8/ serving. The waiting time quite long even though the shop not so crowded. Need to wait around 20min. I guessed the preparation was very time consuming.

user posted image
Kopi ping at RM 2.80/glass. This could even beat KV kopi ping pricing.

Overall the Lukut”s Dirty Noodle was nice but pale in comparison to the Mantin”s Dirty Noodle. Mantin”s Dirty Noodle gave better lasting impression.
