Based on your setting, if the air-con start and stop frequently, I think the setting is too high for the difference between set and ambient temperature, hence set it to 25C

Inverter saves by limiting lock rotor current

I want 26oC so i need to set 26oC. If I set 25 then the room would be too cold for my comfort.

It depends on the size of the room, it's insulation and whether internally it has any heat sources.

24-26° isn't an exceptionally low temperature and if the room isn't that big and especially if no one walks in and out of it all the time then a 1hp inverter is good, else get a 1.5hp.

Get an inverter unless you are only using the airconditioner for less than 4 hours per day.

Brands? If you don't like cold air blowing on you do consider buying a Panasonic Sky series or a Samsung Windfree, not cheap but once you start using it then you'll wonder why it isn't a standard feature.

Other than that, Midea, Gree, Daikin and Panasonic are the usual to go to ones that are pretty good and well supported. Make sure you buy one that uses R32 and 5* energy efficiency.

Why capacitor is required for Single phase motor:
Single phase motors are not a self-starting motor, single phase power supply cannot create rotating magnetic field because of its nature (only one phase). So that to rotate the single phase motor we have to give rotary moment or manual rotation to get continuous rotation. But at that same time we can run the motor but adding extra starting winding and the winding will be connected in series with the capacitor. Technically it is called split phase capacitor method. We are going to use the capacitor property (in capacitor voltage lags the current by 90 deg ). Here the supply voltage will be phase shifted by 90deg. hence by adding capacitor we get the two phase simultaneous from our single phase supply. Hence the motor starts rotating.

Non inverter one, you have only two state 0% power with compressor off or 100% with compressor on

always buy 0.5hp bigger size than you need.

you will thank me next time.

personally felt...not worth to buy those odd number like 1.5

either 1.0 or 2.0 and must be inverter. just set the temperature lower if 2.0 and call it a day

always buy aircond HP suitable to your room size,

if not your electricity bill will sky high as your aircond is working very hard to try lower down the room temp.

Suitable HP aircond will have a cut off point after 2.5 hours, so that they will not use electricity much once the temperature is reached.

e.g if u use 1 hp aircond for 8 hours in big room, all those 8 hours, the aircond will run at full capacity without cut off.
