Intel CPU has protected mode which made multi threading easier
But thread scheduler is handled by OS not CPU. |

QUOTE(baby_4ever @ Oct 19 2021, 02:23 AM) QUOTE(jibpek @ Oct 19 2021, 06:28 AM) Intel CPU has protected mode which made multi threading easier guess u guys dont know. But thread scheduler is handled by OS not CPU. in rkl win 10 benching for example.. theres a service that handles the cpu behavior. very noticeable when u run in diagnostic mode win 11.. same behavior but cant pinned down this time which services it is. want to test later the big/small core impact. so thought somebody here might know. |

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Oct 25 2021, 08:45 AM) thread director on the cpu Thread director and thread secheduler are differenting.win 11 one of the services is affecting the scheduler..,confirmed in diagnostic mode .. hmm which one.. One is hardware based, and one is OS based. And none of they have anything to do with services. If your services get stucked, or in a deadloop, it may consume too much CPU, but that is your service issue. nothing to do with scheduler. |

I believe your topic should goes into Hardware > Intel section. It seem it is more likely due to hardware issue. Nothing to do with Windows 11 here.

QUOTE(life5tyle @ Oct 26 2021, 09:15 AM) How firm you confirm it is Windows 11 issue? The Intel Thread Scheduler is developed by Microsoft or Intel? since u dont have the answer and not surebut u are are questioning me when i said it doesnt work properly.. a few light bulbs should light up right. already said this happens in diagnostic mode.
