It is a good deal, but I purposely didn’t opt for 96w upgrade because I’m not so into fast charging whether for MacBook or iPhone. I’m an old-school believer that normal charging is healthier for battery longevity as it produces less heat 😊

My 14inch doesn’t have this.
But what i can think of is that the only thing having contact when closed is the rubber lining.. so the stickiness might come from that rubber? The rubber shouldn’t deteriorate so fast though..

Another theory, you’re living in a place with changes in atmospheric pressure. Causing some form of vacuum when lid is closed, then pressure change at night. In the morning when open, can feel the resistance.

The 16 inch won’t feel so much compared to 14 because it has a bigger space (less susceptible to the pressure change). Haha , theory.

Hmmm isn’t it bad news that the hinge got loosen? I can’t open the lid with 1 finger coz it’s rather tight..
