I bought a gtx 1060 3gb 3days ago.. I already deep clean and change thermal paste with arctic mx5. For 3 days i use it without any problem. Today suddenly the gpu fans spin 100% its very loud. I already check temperature its still low so not heatsink contact problem. I already try remove driver with ddu. It gets silent. But after install driver the fans start spinning 100% again. I already try different pc also same. Try older driver also same. Try change thermal paste again and tight the screws same. Had anyone have same problem? Please help

try installing MSI Afterburner and see if you can adjust the fan curve. The bios for the gtx 1060 may have been set/modified to spin aggressively.

But it was okay for the past 3days.how bios settings can change suddenly? I use gpu-z. Fan speed shows zero rpm

The PWM controller on the GPU is dead. Connect the fan to an external source. Although this may impact the performance of the GPU as the fans won't ramp up its speed based on the GPU temperature Or better yet, move to liquid cooling, you'll never have to worry about noise again PS: Real liquid cooling, not those sissy AIOs This post has been edited by sHawTY: Oct 18 2021, 08:45 AM

Try using Open Hardware Monitor and manually change the fan speed.

I able to find the problem. The fan connector seem to be the problem. I attached only one fan out of the two, which have same header and it control fan rpm. Thanks everyone
