suspect might be mild bent driveshaft, already changed new tyres, front shock+mounting, and on wheel balancing + allignment

is there a repair that "straighten" back the drive shaft? and is it worth? as my cv joint too got abit sound when turning right for now.

a new original left right driveshaft cost 1.3k
OEM (gaido) around 600
driving H elantra MD

noticeable but not uncomfortable vibration on steering, foot, seat and gearknob. passenger side seat and foot too.

Are you sure the shaft itself is bent? Quite impossible unless your car undercarriage was involve in accident b4.

Normally it was due to inner joint of drive shaft. Perhaps check with authorised Hyundai part distributor for inner joint replacement part. Get a tub of molybdenum grease while at it.

Would recommend GSP or Lucas over Gaido brand.. GSP been long time in market and they are quite value in term of replacement part compare to others. Lucas is more higher cost compare to GSP and consider as a good replacement part also.

tumpang thread.

Any exprience with ODM? Looks like they OEM for a few big brands as well.
I need to change mine after the CV boot leaked and upon checking, there is some play. Foreman said the play will get worse within a few months, probably have to change by then.

surveying OEM brand as their quality is kinda 50 50.
but gaido seems good as the warranty provided is quite long.

kinda sure its the shaft itself but not sure which part of the shaft.
i asked hyundai centre they only replace the whole assembly tho. which cost around 1.5k include labour.

it might be wheel bearing too but chances of the driveshaft is higher, checked wheel bearing is good, no free play and weird noises when the tyre is spinning.

mine previously also CV boot both left and right side broke and replaced boot and grease but the right side didnt last long, few months later the noise is back when turning wheel.
was thinking of gaido as they provide warranty on their product which alot other brand doesnt give that long.

I believe wheel free play only happens at the late stage of wheel bearing problem. To really confirm it's the wheel bearings, need to ask mechanic to jack both the front wheel, start the engine and let the wheels to freely spin. Observe if there's any abnormal movement.

Plus it looks like you already replaced most of the front suspension. Might also just replace everything at this point, but start from the cheaper part first.

Maybe go ask Hyundai part stockist on this part number 49582-3Y100 for left hand drive shaft, or 49582-3Y150 for right hand drive shaft.

Yea, I went to my workshop and they said don't spend 250 to replace the boot since my drive shaft has some play. They quoted 3000 for ori Nissan parts. Double checked with TCM, price is similar. Probably will check on the gaido one. I saw ODM also providing 5 years warranty too, so just surveying around.
