Hi Sifus. Sorry for being newbie in this field. I am moving into my new house end of this month, landed property.
I have checked the coverage, telco available include unifi, maxis, digi and celcom.

Initially want to take unifi 100mbps, but TM seems going to provide private public IP only.

Will it be valuable if I take unifi 100 then upgrade to unifi 300 later?
Or just choose the cheapest package for 100mbps from other telco?
Invest in paid vpn/mikrotik?

I am the type hope for stable internet, short ping. Doing torrents half the time too. And prefer access my home cctv (if possible not cloud-based)

If you follow the other thread on Unifi, you will notice TM had already started moving customers on 30-100 Mbps plan to private IP and will do so for 300-800 Mbps customer in near future. It seems some of the users on Maxis Fiber was able to obtain public IP upon request and maybe you would want to consider this.

well most will be providing private IP (Celcom, Digi, Allo all only private ip). Maxis upon request can get public ip but they seems to throttle p2p based on some search https://www.reddit.com/r/malaysia/comments/...let_me_torrent/
If u heavily torrent not even ipv6 with unifi or maxis will be enough for you. I suggest u get vpn with portforwarding or seedbox.
But for cctv can check out soonwai 's inputs on ddns for ipv6 and go626201 's for alternative methods.

for sure all telco broadbands do not give public IPs. Unifi only dont give public IP on lower packages. Maxis give public IP on request
