Anyone using slide out sofa? The salesman told me after a while the sliding mechanism will fail and will auto slide out.. Is it true?

Simple slide out should be fine. Means slide out underneath one become 2 single bed, right?
Same mechanism as our drawer.

Question is do you really need this? For guest room?


Got fancy one that slide out, then lift up to be same level as the sofa to become double bed. Yes those can be risky

i slept on this type for 1 min. Rolled here and there. Urgh... really not comfy at all.

Depends on manufacturer quality and frequency slide out. I used one for 10 years, seldom slide out but for guest and when want greater comfort while watching TV. It still works fine. Sofa cover wore out faster.
