I just hope Yoodo will stick to their list and say 'oh we're workin on it' or something..
*
yup and I hope that I can write "I told you so". yes I am pissed with most of them coz most of them have the mindset that coz pixel is not officially sold here that is why there will never be VoLTE. I hope Yoodo prove them wrong. I actually encouraged them to file a report to MCMC, there are some who snide me saying I bought an illegal phone , by filing a report to MCMC is like I am shooting myself at the foot.

It's not just Pixels, there are a whole lot of phones that are sold say, in Shopee (or some 2nd hand phone stores) that were never released in Malaysia, thus would also face this VoLTE issue, actually. It's not like we're purchasing BB airsoft guns, or something (Cialis supplements, anyone? tongue.gif )

On the other hand, I do wish Google would have something like One Plus where you can just unlock/toggle IMS VoLTE switch w/out root, that is. Mother of android, locking stuff out, really? Another issue altogether, though.

hopefully yoodo dont say eh the list is wrong sweat.gif since parent company celcom dont allow it and we are in the same network whistling.gif

The toggle is a wishful thinking if google can enable it on a non supported pixel countries ... but you never know rclxub.gif

it is a shame also that google abandon users that is not in official countries ... heck we still contribute to the company bonuses hahaha ... also the grey import sellers doh.gif

I still wonder why they put a bunch of random Pixels in their VoLTE list, unlike their e-sim list, though..

knowing google (Alphabet) their biggest revenue comes from Advertisement. Pixel phone is just a small part of their business. I doubt it is making much profit from it

I got VOLTE enable on yoodo... Disable Magisk volte module, cannot register IMS. Volte provision also turn off. So currently root is still needed for VOLTE.

Did you get email from Yoodo says VoLTE activated? Currently I'm not able to get VoLTE works on Yoodo. Just works on Digi.

if that is the case then there is no volte still on yoodo ... so the list must be rclxub.gif

I feel just like you. I keep contact with the Yoodo customer service through chat / Whatsapp, they always give excuse to wait 2 weeks (after port in), then another 3 days, then end of the day. After that says need to wait another 24-48 hours to activate volte. Some of the support team reply said pixel 6 not support. Because they can't find in their system. Some said only certain model of pixel 6 (eg: global set & us set). Some of them said need to put your sim into supported volte devices (such as iphone 12 pro max) in order for the system to trigger the VoLTE activation.

i think it is not clearly delivered to the CS.
I think if they still use the same db as celcom and other telcos that get the list from sirim then p6 wont be in it lah.
There is no global set for p6
only countries set

the logic to put in other phones that support volte is there but as i have experience last time with celcom on p3xl this is device controlled no point of putting it to a supported malaysia volte phone doh.gif

btw on the same celcom sim, volte works on my s20+ hahaha

Well, so far seems.. disappointing, at best. There's a whole bunch of other phones that aren't released in Malaysia in their VoLTE list, too, and I happen to still have a few of those.

Lets put up a bunch of random Pixels and give people false hope! Yay vmad.gif Now they probably gonna say refer to phone manufacturer, and Google would taichi back refer to telco.

I mean phones that are not officially released here but technically are VoLTE-capable, (like my LG Q7) thats in Yoodo's VoLTE list, somehow( also like some Pixels). But none of my lines are VoLTE-activated as of now, so I cant test on anything yet.

Quick review for january update.
Battery life is slightly better. Around 10-15% better.
Mobile network drain is improved. One sim on wifi only usage down to 13% per 24hours. Two sims 28-31%.
On mixed use 4g and wifi up to 25% with one sim. Up to 41% with two sims.

My fpr is up to twice as fast compared to dec update. This is great imo.

One gripe still on going is phone getting warm when im outside using 4g only. It happens less often now. I have a feeling its buggy on certain band and band aggregations. (Am i the only one who can only get 2ca max? Does malaysian telco use up to 4ca?)

Overall its a nice improvement, feb update will come on time this time around. Same release as the rest previous pixels. Which is on feb 7th.

Anyone else care to share?
