U need the latest usnf. It should work. Make sure to clear data on google play and google pay. Then rerun your setup.

Im on digi. 40-50% is way too high. My advice is to backup everything, then re flash the whole phone and setup the phone as new device. This has always been the way to get best result since i got the phone.

I had this problem when i transfer everything from my 2 xl to the 6 pro. I ended up re flash the phone and set it up from scratch. Yes it takes sometime re do everything, but its definitely worth the effort.

Good luck everyone. I will post my findings/problem by the end of next week, so far its been similar to me because i dont have much problem since i updated to dec update.

Factory reset wouldn't do it? Need to reflash?
*
I like to eliminate variable. You can try resetting to factory. If for some reason problem still persist, u will have to spend more time trying it the flashing way. So i suggest flashing to "save" time just in case.

How much does your battery drop overnight over say 8 hours?

For me it's about 4-8%. Just wanna compare something more directly comparable..

AOD is off for me.
*
I cant say for sure, thats because i slow charge my phone overnight. There was a few times when im too tired i forgot to plug my phone at night the drain was around 0.7% per hour. Simple math equates to 5.6%. these numbers are taken from franco kernel manager - fkm.

So your idle drain is pretty much the same with mine. There are some users using custom kernel that gets 0.5% per hour drain. For me drain idle dont matter too much. So if you really want to get amazing idle drain, get yourself despair kernel.

Thanks. The mobile standby drain seems large, but I'm wondering whether there is actually much difference in the actual battery drain.

I can use my phone comfortably for about a day (morning to night), as long as I don't use Waze all day long and use LDAC Bluetooth. But I wouldn't call it a two-day phone at all. By end of the day I'm usually down to 30% or so.
*
That sounds about right. Ending the day with 30% left is still better than mine. Im a heavy user, rarely put my phone down. Right now my battery is at 31%.

Just a slight update on mobile drain. Im down to 15% because im at home all day.

How do u guys backup your phone prior to firmware upgrade? I have Titanium backup which is ancient, what's is the best backup tool nowdays?
*
I usually just use the google's own. Pictures i backup manually. Though i have nextcloud for that. I tried one app and it does work fine, its very similar to titanium but i think its way better. Called swift backup.

third party cable that support up untill 100w PD and GAN brick that support 65w PD.

My S20+ charges at 17w for the fast charging mode
*
Pixel only care about pps and not pd. It doest matter if u have 200w pd, it wont charge higher than 18w. Mine charging at full 23w using a 37watt pps charger. I can link the taobao or shopee of anyone is interested. I recommend the taobao one cause its cheap. Samsung is selling pps charger as well. But its rm99. Lol.

Quick review for january update.
Battery life is slightly better. Around 10-15% better.
Mobile network drain is improved. One sim on wifi only usage down to 13% per 24hours. Two sims 28-31%.
On mixed use 4g and wifi up to 25% with one sim. Up to 41% with two sims.

My fpr is up to twice as fast compared to dec update. This is great imo.

One gripe still on going is phone getting warm when im outside using 4g only. It happens less often now. I have a feeling its buggy on certain band and band aggregations. (Am i the only one who can only get 2ca max? Does malaysian telco use up to 4ca?)

Overall its a nice improvement, feb update will come on time this time around. Same release as the rest previous pixels. Which is on feb 7th.

Anyone else care to share?

Guys do u have the issue of the TPU screen protector peeling off the side of the P6 pro curved screen? It's quite annoying, I'm using Gor brand my 2nd attempt of tpu after the hydrogel (the hydrogel is a worst screen protector) , Gor brand feels like a glass but the side just don't stick well. Maybe i need a whitestone tempered glass afterall.
*
I use gor too. I think its bad. Im back to hydrogel now. Looks like gonna need to get that whitedome or smthg.

I have just bite the bullet and ordered the whitestone. Today also remove and apply 2nd piece of the Gor sp. Thought that the 2nd piece will be fine but it's still peeling off itself from the curved side as i type. Got fed up , tempered glass option is still the best for curved screen.
*
Yup it peels itself. I think its the first gor product i dont like. Its not expensive though, so moving on. Whitedome looks awesome after installation. Enjoy.
